Look what arrived in the mail today!!!!!
It’s my book!
It’s only the “Advanced Reading Copy,” but it’s still my book! In my hands! A real, live copy! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I am psyched!
Mal hasn’t read any of my book yet, so he’s pouring over it at the dining room table right now. He might be just as excited as I am about it!
Snack
This afternoon, I snacked on a banana and a Blueberry Larabar. Additionally, a handful of butterscotch chips went undocumented. I love snacks.
Mal and I also took Murphy for a long walk around the neighborhood this afternoon. We had a nice time chatting and planning the upcoming week together. Mal and I find it helpful (and much less stressful) to get on the same page with appointments and events before the week gets going.
It was pretty cold outside (and I didn’t wear gloves), but the sun was shining, so the weather was bearable. Even still, I’m sooooo ready for Spring!
Speaking of Spring”¦
Check out this road race in Harvard Square this coming May!
The Tory Row 5K was designed by a runner for runners.
Jayne, a fellow runner and Tory Row’s Events and Communications Manager, is planning the 5K, so she basically thought of everything that she’d want as part of her ideal road race and incorporated these ideas into it. The Tory Row 5K includes a cool tech shirt (available in women’s sizes), chip timing, bag check, a post-race celebration with a free draft beer, and plenty of eco-friendly porto-potties. If you’re interested, I’d register soon. This race will sell out!

We can’t wait for your book! I already pre-ordered on Amazon, and keep it hush-hush, but my mom is getting one for mother’s day! Your book and your words of wisdom are going to be a lovely gift!!

Congrats Tina, it must feel amazing to have an actual tangible result of your hard work – a book, wow! Those blueberry larabars are so intriguing, I bought one but lost it and am so stubborn that I’m determined to not buy another one until I find it. Rarr.
OMG!!! I’m so excited…can’t wait to get my copy!! I pre-ordered it from Barnes and Noble. Are you doing a book signing tour?
Sadly, no. Just in Boston.
Just pre-ordered! Cannot wait. Congratulations!

Yay! I just registered for Tory Row. I haven’t run a race in five years…but having one right down the street seemed too good to pass up!
Woohoo! Congrats on getting the book. It must have been an incredible feeling to open that package and hold it in your hand for the first time!
The race sounds incredible. I agree, that a runner’s perspective makes for the best race!
Wow! Congratulations to you. I just recently starting reading your blog, and I love it! I look forward to purchasing your book as well!!

I was excited about a 5k in Cambridge, but a $40 entrance fee for a 5k!? I think I’ll sit this one out. I’ll be doing the Run to Remember half marathon the next weekend anyway. And the half marathon fee is only $50.
that is awesome how supportive and excited Mal is of your book! What a great hubby
I cant wait to read your book!
AHHHHH that is so exciting!!!! all your hard work in one place!!! Congratulations!
Congrats, Tina! That is incredibly thrilling!!
I’ve never run a 5K before but the Tory Row one looks great! Do you think it’s beginner friendly? I mean, I can run the whole time.. but just new to the whole race thing!
@Megan: It’s brand new this year, but I bet it will be. Harvard Square is a great area to run, and I’m sure the crowds will be awesome!
