What I’m Loving Lately 94

What a week! Holy cow, my head is still spinning. I’m so ready for my couch and a glass of wine. Let’s hope Friday flies by! With it being the end of the week and all, here’s the next edition of What I’m Loving Lately!

Wunder Under Crop (Hi-Rise, FULL-ON LUON 21″) – I heard that the Wunder Under Crops were THE best for both workout and lifestyle, so I just had to see what they were all about, and, guys, I’m in love! They’re so comfy and move so well during workouts. Love, love, love! Oh, and one quick thing about the length… the 21″ is perfect – not too long, but not too short either! 🙂

FYI: My bag is from Cuyana (it’s like 5 years old and still my favorite) and my cute sneakers are the Revel from Brooks Running! <— FREE shipping on Zappos.com both ways! 🙂

And, of course, the high waist is simply the best. It holds in everything! 😉

I’m also loving the Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve Crew, which has become a staple in my wardrobe. I also own it in green and grey, so I have a nice rotation going! 🙂

FYI: My sunglasses are from Persol.

I also picked up this Just Enough Puff Vest for the fall and can’t wait to start wearing it once our Indian Summer is over! Super cute, right?

Whole Grain Cinnamon Crunch Bites – These look delicious, and I totally want to make them! 🙂

I Befriended My Troll – With everything going on in this world right now, Kath’s post made my heart so happy.

How to Refuel After a Long Run – If you’re training for a half marathon (or marathon) this fall, you might have some questions about how to properly refuel and recover from your long runs. Check out this post about how to calculate your body’s needs from Kelli, one of our Registered Dietitians on staff!

The Obesity Code –  I mentioned this book a couple of weeks ago, and I’m totally obsessed. I’m only about halfway through, but it’s making me question just about everything I’ve learned about nutrition and weight loss. I also heard its author, Dr. Chung, on a podcast this week. The interview only scratches the surface with regard to his theories/research, but I figured I’d pass it along for those of you who love podcasts as much as I do! Very interesting stuff.

Question of the Day

What book and/or podcast are you loving right now?

I’m always looking for recommendations and love sharing them, too!

      1. @Tina: they’re old stuff holds up SO well… the new stuff.. not so much… pilling inside the legs.. all the time.. so annoying their quality went down {and prices have gone up}

    1. @Brielle: I agree with Tina — they really, really last. I don’t necessarily think they fit better than other brands, but I do find the quality to be superior. The Wunder Under stirrup leggings are my fave. 🙂

  1. I’m on a reading kick right now. I love thrillers, funny books, books that make me think and lots of nonfiction. I recently finished Gavin deBeckers the gift of fear and Tina Feys book Bossy Pants. Now I’m into The Little Friend by Donna Tartt. I recommend all of them!

  2. I love Krissy Mae Cagney’s Black Iron podcast, mostly because she keeps it real and it’s hilarious. Michael Cazayoux at brUTE Strength also has a great podcast.

How do the Wunder Under’s stack up in the sheerness department? I’m paranoid about that with leggings, and have so much trouble finding a reliable pair.

    1. I didn’t realize Krissy Mae had a podcast! I’ll have to check it out! 🙂

The Wunder Unders aren’t sheer at all. They’re actually pretty sturdy leggings! 🙂

  3. OMG…podcasts: “Where should we begin?” with Esther Perel. She is a marriage counselor and these sessions are just FASCINATING. The series is only available on audible so you need to $$ (the first couple are free if you are Amazon Prime) but just so incredibly interesting. Love it!

  4. Love those crops and the long sleeved top! I need to invest in more cold weather running gear.
I’m with you on this being a long week – I’m ready for my Bold Rock cider 😉
    Thanks for the book recommendation!
Right now I’m obsessed with the Casefile podcast! It’s pretty dark and intense but I can’t stop listening!
    Enjoy your weekend 🙂

  5. I’ve been binge-listening to the podcast Up and Vanished about a real-life disappearance case. Very compelling! It’s like the first series of Serial, but more satisfying.

  6. Hi Tina!

I love the lulu outfit! I have a question about the Revels; when you buy running shoes to wear as “lifestyle” shoes, do you buy your running shoe size or your dress shoes size? (or something in between?) I wear size 8 in regular shoes and 9.5 in running shoes, and I’m never sure what size to order if I don’t plan on using the shoes for running.

    1. I size down by 1/2 size. I’m an 8 in running shoes, but wear a 7.5 in the Revel and other lifestyle sneakers. (I’m usually a 7/7.5 in regular/dress shoes.) Hope this helps – the Revels are my favorite!! 🙂

  7. Hi Tina! I have an instagram where I post my book reviews if you want to check it out here:

Some books I’ve been loving lately:
    – The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
    – Bear Town
    – Radium Girls

Currently reading: The Address by Fiona Davis

    Favorite Podcasts:
    – How I Built This
    – Start Up Podcast
    – Science Vs

  8. I haven’t actually tried Wunder Unders either and I NEED TO! Since my job is fairly casual and I can get away with wearing leggings with a long sweater or shirt, I should pick up a pair!

I’ve been LOVING the Mind Pump podcast! I just love that they talk about a lot of different stuff, but it always still comes back to health/fitness/things I’m interested in. 🙂

  9. I just love Spirts podcast, it’s two wise cracking girls getting drunk and telling myths and stories to each other. Makes me happy every time!!! I also like listening to the Dave Ramsey podcast. I’m on a journey to becoming debt free and am following his plan.

  10. Since I am not a blogger I didn’t get the troll meaning…clicked on the link thinking someone had befriended a troll doll…lol..I know…what a goober! I was really touched by it and also surprised that people make money being negative like that….I have never read such a blog/site nor would I want to…I refuse to surround myself (or read for that matter).. with negative people. If they are family or have to work with them…limit our interactions as much as possible. Life is too short….ain’t nobody got time for that!
