Hi, friends! Happy FRIDAY! Holy cow, this week flew by, right? Gotta love holiday weekends! 🙂

Since it’s Friday and all, it’s time for another edition of What I’m Loving Lately. This week’s post was actually really easy to put together because I’m seriously loving what’s mentioned! I mean, hey, some weeks are better than others! Ha! Ok, here we go!

Mind Pump: Raw Fitness Truth podcast – The ladies from Girls Gone WOD recently had the guys from Mind Pump on their podcast, and I immediately fell is love. They talk about all things fitness/health, and I love their straight-forward style. They also record multiples times per week, so they always have new content to listen to – and, of course, I’m totally binge-listening to past episodes!

OK to Wake! Clock – This clock is the BEST THING EVER!! We recently transitioned Quinn to a toddler bed, which started out great, but then he was climbing into our bed at like 4:30 AM. After a few realllllly early mornings, we decided it was time to try something new. We heard this OK to Wake! Clock was awesome and, sure enough, it did the trick. Qman thinks it’s the coolest thing ever and gets so excited when it turns green in the morning. He’ll come into our room and tell us ALL ABOUT IT. Haha! In addition to being a fun new toy, the clock keeps him in bed until a more “reasonable” hour of the morning! 🙂

Effortless style – I shared the photo below on CNC last week and received a few questions about my hair and jeans, so I just wanted to provide the details because, honestly, my “style” is quite effortless! 🙂

I recently started using a serumSea Salt Spray in my hair and just letting it air dry to get light, beach-y waves. I use a dime-size amount of serum on just the ends of my layers. Then, I spray the Sea Salt Spray all over and then “scrunch” it up with my hands (maybe a half dozen times) before letting it dry naturally. It’s so easy and takes like 2 minutes! 🙂

My boyfriend jeans are from Kut from the Kloth and the rips came with them! 🙂 They’re super comfy and fitted in all the right places. I wear them a ton and swear they just keep getting better and better with each wash!

Lululemon Breeze By Muscle Tank – I’m obsessed with all muscle tanks, but especially this one! I need it in my life for sure!

Kashi Salted Chocolate Chunk Chewy Nut Butter Bars – Omggggg, these bars on life-changing. Seriously, they’re a game changer for when it comes to healthy treats. They’re just 150 calories and only have 8g of sugar per bar, but they’re FULL of flavor, which means you get to enjoy dessert, but it in a perfectly controlled portion!

Blueberry Chex – I’m not typically a fan of fruit-flavored cereals (or ice cream), but I love Chex cereals, so I gave their new blueberry flavor a fair chance. (My friends at General Mills sent it to me to sample.) I have to admit that it’s pretty darn amazing! The flavor reminds me of the edge of a blueberry muffin top, and I’m definitely a fan! Holy yum!

This recipe for Cheesy Chicken & Broccoli With Spinach – An oldie, but goodie from the CNC archives. A reader recently sent me an email and mentioned how much she likes this recipe. I actually forgot about it until she reminded me of it. We actually made it for dinner the other night, and it’s definitely a winner!

Another recipe on repeat this week: Cucumber + Radish Salad. I shared the recipe yesterday, but just had to give it another shout out. It’s so easy, light, and delicious – perfect for summer!

Question of the Day

What recipe is on repeat in your house lately? Do I need to make it? Please share! 🙂

P.S. I’m keeping my special Beautycounter promo open through the weekend! Woohoo! It’s an awesome deal – and if you’re in the market for sunscreen without all of those crazy ingredients, be sure to hop on this deal!

If you spend $55 (before tax and shipping), you’ll get a FREE Sunscreen Stick (Face) – an $18 value! This sunscreen stick is perfect for summer. It’s super easy to apply (just roll it on), is water-resistant, and great for kids (remember – no crazy chemicals!). It blends really well with your skin so you’re not left looking pale next to the pool, and it’s compact—a perfect fit for pockets!

  1. Blank bean wraps! We picked up OK to Wake and it worked like a charm until I accidentally turned on the alarm (not the light). Now my son won’t go near it. Darn!!

  2. Blueberry Chex?! That sounds incredible! I’m a huge Chex cereal fan (Honey Nut and Cinnamon are my favorites!), I’ll definitely be on the lookout for the blueberry flavor!

  3. So glad that the clock is working well for you! It’s for sure our number one baby item that we use! I love it! Our recipe repeat is pulled pork sandwiches in the crockpot stuff the pulled pork in an avocado (I use avocado instead of the bread that my boys use). It’s easy and so yum!

  4. we LOVE the ok to wake clock. It kept my son from getting up at 4 am every day. He runs out when it lights up saying “Clock light up. Ok out of bed” For the first few weeks we had it he told everyone about his clock everywhere we went.

  5. Not a recipe, but a repeat that you will appreciate. Puppy dog pals on Disney. It is about 2 pugs that go on adventures. It cracks me up. Most of the time, they are traveling, Hawaii or Paris for example. My 2 old daughter is talking about trips lately so it’s perfect. Fun little show to watch occasionally together.

  6. I’m sitting here eating a bowl of Cinnamon Chex right now and looked down in disappointment that they’re not Blueberry Chex. I haven’t even seen them, though! I’m assuming they’re new since GM sent you a sample. Hopefully they’ll hit major stores soon.

  7. I’ve actually made your recipe with Trader Joe’s Cowboy Caviar a bunch of times! I serve it on top of a baked sweet potato and LOVE it! It’s so nice to have a quick and easy dinner recipe to put together. I firs heard about the MindPump podcast on GGWod as well and am really enjoying it!

  8. those kashi bars sound amazing!! i haven’t seen them yet, but i’ll for sure pick some up next time i do! and those blueberry chex look like the perfect add-in for homemade trail mix 🙂

lately i’ve been making a frozen banana & strawberry/almond milk/chocolate protein shake almost daily as the temperature heats up. it tastes like the most decadent milkshake and cools my body right down after a hard workout!

  9. We got our son an OK to Wake clock when he was about Quinn’s age and they really are the best! It’s still effective at almost 6 years old!

  10. Do you find that the sea salt spray dries your hair out? I’ve been interested in buying some for a while now but the air here in Colorado is so dry that I don’t want anything to make my hair worse than it already is haha

  11. Oh man, we tried that clock for night weaning and it was a disaster! He became obsessed with it and would wake up and stare at it and cry for hours. One night he got up and started messsing with it to try and make it turn green. During the day if he saw like a green stoplight or something he would say “when light turns green, have mil!” Soooo we went with an alternate method. Ha ha. But probably works better for its intended use.

  12. I have to say that the Ok to wake clock really didn’t work for me. Our kids got slighty obsessed with it and spent most of the night waking up to play with the damn thing. It’s now back in the box ready to give as a present to one of our friends who’s having a baby! lol

  13. The OK clock looks great, I’m gonna give it a try. Our daughter loves to get up ridiculously early – like 5am! We tried the Gro Clock for a while. It was good but it made an electronic buzzing noise which I didn’t feel entirely comfortable with. It’s not very zen trying to sleep with it humming away in the background. 🙂

Love the cucumber and radish salad btw. Yum!

  14. Add flour, cinnamon, baking soda, 1 teaspoon vanilla and salt; Beat at a low speed 1 minute. Stir in carrots and nuts. Pour into pan. 13 × 9-inch pan 40 to 45 minutes, after 30 to 35 minutes or the middle of the spinning pan, it becomes clear to clean the tooth.

  15. OK watch looks great. Our daughter loves to laugh at the first time – 7 things like that! We tried to watch Gro for a while. It was good but it made an electronic Google noise that I did not fully feel comfortable. It does not try to sleep with too much zen humming it away in the background.

  16. I would say that the clock did not work properly for me. Our kids were a little overwhelmed with it and most of the night was waking up to play with something that was going on. It is now ready to prepare a box back to our friends who have a baby ready as a present.
