Ice Cream for Dinner

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots β€˜N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Hello! πŸ˜›

Mal and I just got back from a great Body Pump class. The instructor had so much energy and she incorporated all sorts of fun tracks into the workout. About half of the music was from BP 72 and the rest was from who knows what?!? A couple of them I had never done before.Β “Love Shack” (for chest) was my favorite track of the night. I increased my weight by 5 pounds, so it was really hard, too, which was awesome!! I love getting stronger! πŸ˜‰

Before Body Pump, I snacked on a mini Larabar and a few Uncle Jerry’s pretzels.

After Body Pump, I wasn’t really hungry for a “real” dinner, so I made myself a double-batch of Almond Joy “Ice Cream.” This time, I added a tiny bit of vanilla extract and a spoonful of fat-free cream cheese for some extra creaminess. Mmmmm!

Of course, this isn’t the healthiest dinner ever, but sometimes, you just need to eat ice cream for dinner. Plus, I’m sure my muscles appreciate the extra protein.

Now, I’m craving something salty. I think some salt + vinegar chips are in my near future.

Enjoy the evening!

  1. Oh yes–definitely need to have an ice cream dinner every once and a while. Too bad you didn’t have your salty tooth earlier; what goes better with something vanilla than french fries I used to always dip my fries in my frosty πŸ™‚

  2. Just to let you know- they also sell those Uncle Jerry’s pretzels at Formaggio Kitchen (there’s one in the South end and one in Huron village in Cambridge!).. and I agree,They are awesome! Another recommendation is the salty oatmeal cookies they sell.. mmm!

  3. That looks like the perfect dinner! πŸ™‚ Somedays you just need a treat. And YAY on a good class! It’s so cool that you’re both taking the class together.

  4. Long story short….my lovely mom would feed my daughter CAKE for breakfast. She saw nothing wrong with it. It had eggs, milk and fruit in it.

  5. I am *seriously* impressed by your Body Pump weights ~ I can only squat about half of what you can!

Your ‘ice cream’ is ultra-healthy anyway so I say enjoy it for whichever meals you want!

  6. Really cool that you work out with your mom! I love it. I had cookies that were sort of dinner in a hotel a few weeks ago, sometimes you just needd to.

  7. I’m so the same with switching between sweet and savoury snacks! In fact, I just ate gingerbread and am now eating paprika chips (I’m too scared to try the bolognaise chips available here in France, though, hahah!)

  8. I just bought all the ingredients to make Almond Joy “Ice Cream” πŸ™‚ Yummy! I might add some hershey’s cocoa to it if the chocolate from the protien isn’t enough! I loooooooooove chocolate and bananas πŸ™‚
