I Sent Myself to Starbucks

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Woah, Monday. Where the heck did you come from!?! 😯

I have a ton of work to do this week before I leave for San Francisco for five days (and move into a new house the day that I get back), so I sent myself to Starbucks to make a serious dent in it.

At home, I am easily distracted.

And, sometimes, it’s just plain difficult to get work done there.

At Starbucks, I grabbed a turkey bacon egg sandwich for lunch.

And a Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. Oh my goodness, delicious!!!

I’m finishing up a few things and then I’m picking out paint colors for our new house with Mal. So fun! 😀

  1. Gosh, it must be dinner time for me…here in CA…..that egg sandwich from Starbucks looks great! Hope you accomplished all the work you wanted to:)
Looking forward to SF and sitting in on one of the break-out sessions you’ll be speaking in!

  2. Here’s some advice from our experience with painting. Get samples and paint patches in the room before you go “all in”, because you may hate the color once it is on the wall and dry. This is experience speaking…….We picked out many colors (one for the kitchen, dining/living/hallway and bedrooms. After painting our samples on the wall, we “hated” them all. We are not handy, so after all of that we ended up hiring a professional to paint the entire interior of the house – same neutral colors, with a slightly different color scheme in the master bedroom/bath. Just our experience, but I thought I would share. I would also recommending staying as neutral as possible. GOOD LUCK!

  3. Darn you Tina! I just had to click on the adorable pug video 🙂 Haha, right in the middle of writing a paper! Wherever there’s cute animals, procrastination is bound to appear.

  4. I tried working at starbucks once – and honestly it was even more distracting for me! Too much exciting people watching. Maybe next time I should bring headphones to help me zone out more?

  5. GO GIANTS 🙂 Its going to be a fun week to be in SF with the world series win last night! I spent the weekend there and it is Giants Fever! There is a big parade on Wednesday too!

    Have fun!

  6. That shot of Murphy with his head on your laptop made me chuckle. Every time I sit down, I wind up with a cat on my lap; it can make things difficult on days that I work from home. 🙂

  7. Salted caramel is one of my favorite flavors. Are you going to have a meet up while in SF. I really wanted to go to the conference, but it is completely out of my price range 🙁
And speaking of salted caramel, there’s a very well known ice cream place out there called the Bi-Rite Creamery that has all these interesting flavors and in house made ice cream, including salted caramel. You should definitely check it out!
