Did anyone else take advantage of Free Pastry Day at Starbucks this morning? I sure did! I love free stuff! š
On my drive into NuVal this morning, I stopped by Starbucks to get my “handcrafted” beverage and free pastry. Since I already drank a 2-shot iced latte with breakfast, I opted for a decaf, soy milk latte. I didn’t need that much caffeine to get my day going! šÆ
My latte was really foamy! Just how I like ’em!
Lunch
For lunch, I ate the other half of my veggie burrito from Anna’s. As expected, it was delicious and totally hit the spot.
My free pastry of choice was the Iced Lemon Loaf. It was a tough decision between the Pumpkin Loaf and the Iced Lemon Loaf, but the Lemon Loaf eventually won out because of its layer of thick frosting. š
The frosting actually fell off and stuck to the inside the bag, but I didn’t let it go to waste. I whipped out a spoon, scraped it off the sides of the bag, and ate it that way. No frosting goes to waste around me! Frosting = heaven!
With my Iced Lemon Loaf, I enjoyed a mug of Sleepytime Vanilla tea, which tasted like vanilla with a hint of dish soap flavor? Maybe I didn’t rinse my mug well enough? š
Snack
When I got home from NuVal, I snacked on an apple and some pitted dates.
I probably ate 7 or 8 dates all together.
It’s time to take Murphy for a walk and start on dinner. Mal and I are eating an early dinner and then going to Body Pump with Dave and Marie later tonight.
Win 2 VIP Tickets to the Boston Marathon
Kristine, a long-time CNC reader, is hosting a fundraiser to help raise awareness for MS. Check out what she says below:
I recently found out that my good friend, who is only 32-years-old was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In an attempt to help raise awareness and hopefully find a cure, we are doing a 5 mile walk on April 10th. In an attempt to fundraise, I have decided to auction off 2 front seat tickets to the finish line of the Boston Marathon along with 2 tickets to a brunch hosted by the Boston Athletic Association. This is a great opportunity for any runners out there who have loved ones that want to see them cross the finish line and get great pictures. The easiest way for me to handle this auction is to have interested individuals email me at purplepinkytoes@gmail.com with a bid. I am going to start bidding at 75 dollars. Bidding will continue until Friday, March 26 at noon. I will update the bidders with the highest bid so they can outbid each other if they desire. On Friday, I will email Tina to announce the winner, and then the winner will donate the money to my fundraising page, and I will send along the tickets. Thanks so much for all of your support!
