Good morning! Happy Monday! My countdown to vacation has officially begun: 5 days. Woohoo! I cannot wait!

Remember my I Bet You Didn’t Know posts? If you missed them, here’s I Bet You Didn’t Know and I Bet You Didn’t Know II. I love these kinds of posts because I get to share things you probably don’t know about me, and I love reading the comments you guys leave. There’s always some interesting stuff!

So, without further ado, here’s the next edition of I Bet You Didn’t Know!

I bet you didn’t know”¦

I’m obsessed with being early. I absolutely hate being late to appointments and events, so I always arrive ridiculously early to them, like two hours (or more) before a flight. And if I’m ever running late, I stress-out like a crazy person. Basically, being early (not even just on time) is part of who I am. I even arrived 15 days before my due date.

I love all kinds of music, but I really don’t like Reggae. I have no idea why, but I just can’t stand it. The second it comes on the radio, I change the station.

Murphy isn’t the only dog I’ve owned. Ok, this only half true. When I was a kid, my dad owned an Irish Setter named Copper, but neither of them lived with us (my mom, sister, and me). I guess Copper was my dog on the weekends.

I grind my teeth in my sleep, so I wear a mouthguard (almost) every night. Just ask Mal, it’s really hot.

I’ve never tried a cigarette, and I never will. Growing up, both of my parents smoked cigarettes, and it made me so angry, so I’ve never had the desire to try one””even when it was “cool” in 7th grade.

Breakfast

Great breakfast this morning! I had scrambled eggs with chopped kale and crumbled blue cheese mixed in and toast with butter.

I also drank a glass of iced coffee with almond milk. Mmm! Big fan of this meal.

Satisfied Cravings

  1. I’m the exact same way with being early. Being on time to me is being late, and if I actually AM late? Oh man. Stress city. Especially if you’re on your way somewhere, with plenty of time to spare, and traffic screws you over. That’s the worst!

  2. I am ALWAYS early as well! 15 minutes early is on time if you ask me! If someone is late, it really irks me and I get all anxious.. especially if we are meeting to go somewhere..because then I am inevitably late for the next thing!

  3. I’m the same way with being early (I was also born early, 10 days) and I stress out like CRAZY about it every day. My stress is always for nothing because even when I think I will be right on time or late, I am STILL ridiculously early. I wish I knew how to get over this but it’s just who I am. It amuses (and slightly annoys) my boyfriend.

  4. I’m the same with being on time…I am almost always very punctual! Bet you didn’t know that I’ve never smoked a joint…or plan to! I have a great time in life without drugs, and lord knows I don’t need to stimulate the munchies :)!

  5. I need to try being early for things, I am terrible and I really do try!
    I grind my teeth (and clench my jaw) in my sleep too! I’d been wearing a mouthguard, but now I have braces on my bottom teeth for the third time in my life (age 9, 15, and now 28), so I’m wearing a retainer on top at night – also super hot! Betcha didn’t know that.

  6. I am very OCD about being early or at the latest being on time. I bet you didn’t know I was the co-president of the latin club in 8th grade and went to latin camp not once, but twice. A well timed, “This one time at latin camp…” can bring a room to tears laughing.

  7. I’m the same way with being early (not even on time). I definitely get it from my dad, and while I’m glad I’m never “that person” who’s always late, it is really obnoxious to be riddled with anxiety when I’m traveling and I’m not at the airport two hours before my flight takes off. I need to chill out sometimes!

  8. Oh good, we’re not the only ones who arrive 2 hours prior to a flight! I actually get irritated when people arrive like 5 minutes prior to boarding and start huffing and puffing at people like they’ve been waiting around SO long!

    The only kind of dogs I’ve ever owned are Toy Fox Terriers. The last one broke our hearts so much when she had to go, I don’t know that we’ll be able to own another dog again or at least not until we’re in detached living since we have a h*ll dog living next door.

  9. I’m totally with you on being early. I *always* show up at least 10 minutes early to something, even if I try my hardest not to. As far as when I was born, I was three days late.

  10. i am the exact same way with being on time!! i turn into a crazy person if i think i am running late… not to mention it drives me up the frickin wall when other people are late. i need to work on my patience with that 🙂

  11. I definitely prefer to be early! It sets my mind at ease. My husband is all about getting there with just a bit to spare. Stresses me out. 🙂

  12. Ha, I totally feel you on the getting to places early thing. I don’t really feel the need to get to places super early, but I’m definitly a stickler for getting their exactly on time or 5-10 minutes early. I hate hate hate being late. Just yesterday I had a freak out because I wanted to leave the house at noon to get to a baseball game that started at 1:40 p.m. I was running behind and was afraid I didn’t have time to get ready. It wasn’t pretty 🙂

  13. LOVE being early and stress about being late even if its by 2 minutes, I just can’t stand being thattt girl. I’ve taken one drag of a ciggarette and never will again, hated everything about it… but I don’t really mind the smell if its outside because it reminds me of fond memories in Europe haha.

  14. I love music too, but I hate Disco! I must change the station if it comes on! I too am obsessed with being early. Airports are boring, but if I don’t get there super early, I’m freaking out until I’m there! I missed a transfer flight once leaving Rome to come back to Indiana. It was the airlines fault, but basically I lived out one of worst nightmares!!

  15. I am so with on being early (I was also born early 6 days)- I hate being late for things I would much rather wait around than be late. I am always ready first when we leave the house too and it drives me crazy as a I stand by the door impatiently waiting for my husband to finally get everything he needs together before we walk out the door.

    As for teeth grinding- I’m a chomper. It’s awful and it drives my husband crazy! It unfortunately means I sometimes bite my tongue or cheek when I sleep too.

  16. I’m the same with being early! The thought of being late gets me so anxious! I bet you didn’t know I was born with a diaphragmatic hernia (intestines were basically up in my chest compressing my lungs) that wasn’t discovered until I was 3! At the time, these were deadly for babies but I was very lucky! I have a huge scar on my stomach to be thankful for 🙂

  17. I wear contacts at NIGHT. When I take them out in the morning, I can see all day without anything in my eyes. It’s SO nice because my eyes are so sensitive! It’s like having lazily without the surgery and it’s cheaper!!

  18. Growing up, my dad inacted the “15 minute rule”, meaning we had to arrive 15 minutes early to everything. I still stick to that and get all anxious when other people are late. I also only eat folded potato chips, have to brush my teeth before putting on lipstick or lipgloss, and I love airplane bathrooms. Strange, I know, but I just find them very clean and relaxing-plus, you can stretch a little! Happy Monday!

We have A LOT in common… the being early thing especially(one of the things I LOVE about my boyfriend, he is obessed with being early too) Have you considered an allergen diet to eliminate which things are irritating your tummy? I keep meaning to ask. I have done it a couple of times and I’m pretty sure I’ve narrowed down what food “allergies” I have. Today is the first day of a longer one(12 weeks!) In which I will have NO wheat, among many other things. 🙂 I know that dairy gives me trouble(especially my skin) and sugar… well you know. Anyway, shoot me an email if you want to know more!   20. Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention that there is not any thing I can think of for the “bet you didn’t know” as I wear my heart on my sleeve! Okay, here’s one that people get a chuckle out of; I was born and raised in Fargo. My family did NOT own a wood chipper though…

  21. I was born 2 weeks early too, and I have been early to everything ever since. If I show up 5 minutes early, I get frazzled thinking that I am late!

    I bet you didn’t know that I am from Charleston, SC but I don’t like sweet tea… never have, prob never will and everyone things I am crazy

  22. OMG, Elina’s food looks delicious (I can’t believe it is actually healthy too). Wish I lived in the Boston Area, I have been looking for a fun way to incorporate some new healthy recipes into my dinner rotation.

  23. I totally have a mouth guard too. It’s completely embarrassing. But I clench my jaw when I sleep and I was waking up with horrible headaches and an aching jaw. 🙁

  24. I bet you didn’t know that I am obssessed about being early too. In fact, if I have to drive somewhere I’ve never been before, I always drive there the day before so that I won’t be late due to bad sense of directions.

  25. Whatever you do, Tina, avoid Jamaica (hopefully, that’s not where you’re going in 5 days… if so… bring noise-cancelling headphones)! I liked Reggae until my vacations there. It’s unavoidable and while you think it might be better there, the DJs butcher what could be good by adding the worst sound effects on top of the music. I’m with you on the 0 cigarettes ever (and rationale behind it) and on the night guard!
