The thing I love most about blogging are the people I have met. I’ve formed some amazing friendships over the years, and it’s crazy to think that I met some of my closest friends through the Internet.
Two of my favorite “hoes,” Monica and Chandra, are visiting me later this week, so I spent most of the day prettying our house for their arrival. (Mal and I have really slacked-off on the home improvement projects lately.) Monica and Chandra will be our first overnight guests in our new house!
One of the biggest projects on my list is getting my office in order. Sometimes, I don’t know how I get anything done in there! It’s really not that messy, but I’ve been meaning to hang pictures and a cork-board on the wall, plus some other small projects that will help better organize the space.
These are the ”˜before’ photos of my office, but I made some progress today. It’s slowly coming together!
In addition to working in my office, I also bought curtains for our living room.
Don’t they make the room look homey?
I also did a few smaller projects around the house. I’ll be sure to share them on the blog later this week!
Lunch
I’m a dork, but I was really excited for lunch today! I reheated some of my leftovers from Lime Leaf. YUM!
Snacks
During the afternoon, I finished off a big container of plain yogurt and then snacked on a banana.
Dinner
For dinner, I ate the rest of my Lime Leaf leftovers. It was bittersweet.
Dessert
Dessert was ridiculously delicious tonight. This photo is actually my second serving of melted Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Sauce with fresh raspberries. Holy amazing. I might even go for a third serving! I can’t get enough of it!
Off to relax! Hope you’re having a nice Saturday night!

Love the post title. Have a great Sunday.
Genius dessert idea! Chocolate and raspberries are a killer combo.
I have so many home projects to do too! It’s just so hard because I never know where to start!
I really do like how blogging has broken through the “creepy” factor of meeting people via the internet. Sure, there are still those weird chatroom occurances, but I absolutely love to support and community I’ve found through healthy living/ exercise/ food blogs!
Where did you get those curtains? They look great!! Very chic!
Love your new curtains, where did you get them? That’s the exact style that I’m looking for, for our living room. 🙂
At Lowes.
A couple of weeks ago I had lunch with a blogger from Boston. I was visiting my daughter in Somerville. It was great to meet her and her husband!
I need some curtains too. It does make a huge difference. I also need a new light above my table. I know it would totally change the look. Mine is a bit dated right now. 🙂
Did you just eat the chocolate sauce with only raspberries in it – no ice cream or anything? It must be pretty yummy to eat all alone!
That’s my favorite part about blogging too — making virtual friends from all over! It’s almost like having co-workers, who don’t have any annoying quirks 🙂
haha, hilarious title. Have fun with Chandra, love that girl!
I completely agree! I love some of the people I’ve met through blogging, I feel like I’ve been friends with them for so much longer! 🙂
You know I’m not fancy. You don’t have to clean for me 🙂
The title of this post is amazing – haha! I love the colors in your living room, the dark wood and the navy furniture is such a nice combo.
I love the combo of berries + melted dark chocolate … wins every time! I also love banana + melted dark chocolate. These desserts never fail to satisfy 🙂
I love the “Keep Calm and love Pugs” sign. Where did you find it?!
