The thing I love most about blogging are the people I have met. I’ve formed some amazing friendships over the years, and it’s crazy to think that I met some of my closest friends through the Internet.
Two of my favorite “hoes,” Monica and Chandra, are visiting me later this week, so I spent most of the day prettying our house for their arrival. (Mal and I have really slacked-off on the home improvement projects lately.) Monica and Chandra will be our first overnight guests in our new house!
One of the biggest projects on my list is getting my office in order. Sometimes, I don’t know how I get anything done in there! It’s really not that messy, but I’ve been meaning to hang pictures and a cork-board on the wall, plus some other small projects that will help better organize the space.
These are the ”˜before’ photos of my office, but I made some progress today. It’s slowly coming together!
In addition to working in my office, I also bought curtains for our living room.
Don’t they make the room look homey?
I also did a few smaller projects around the house. I’ll be sure to share them on the blog later this week!
Lunch
I’m a dork, but I was really excited for lunch today! I reheated some of my leftovers from Lime Leaf. YUM!
Snacks
During the afternoon, I finished off a big container of plain yogurt and then snacked on a banana.
Dinner
For dinner, I ate the rest of my Lime Leaf leftovers. It was bittersweet.
Dessert
Dessert was ridiculously delicious tonight. This photo is actually my second serving of melted Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Sauce with fresh raspberries. Holy amazing. I might even go for a third serving! I can’t get enough of it!
Off to relax! Hope you’re having a nice Saturday night!

So I’ve been reading your blog for awhile, but I never expected a title with “hoes” in it – you def got me laughing! 🙂
oooh the curtains are new – THAT”S why you were ironing them! Right..?!
Yep! The wrinkles are bugging me, so I might rent a steamer. I’m not sure I can handle ironing them all!
I was wondering about that tweet too!
Hahaha – LOVE the title! Blog friends are so fun!
Gotta love Luda! I have to say after seeing all the pictures you have shown of your house I love you all the more after seeing your office. It looks like my sad little space. I cannot wait to see what magic you do to it!
I’d be excited for those leftovers too!
The curtains look great! They really add to the room. Holy yum!!!… that dark chocolate caramel looks fantastic!!
That song is totally stuck in my head now! Have fun! Can’t wait to see what you did with the paint! =)
haha the title of this post had me laughing…and then trying to remember if it was from a song. Pop culture impaired…
curtains do indeed make a room look homey! I just got a single this semester and I’m thinking I’m going to get me some nice curtains to spruce it up.
I love the blogging community! It is so cool to say “Oh, my friend so-and-so in (insert name of far away place here) told me that…” 😀
Love Luda!
I love this title and the post. That’s so fun that Chandra and Monica are coming to visit. Is it just for fun?
Curtains look great, they really pull the room together! 🙂
I can’t believe you were able to stretch pad thai for three meals. I can never control myself with it!
Yay for internet friends! I love how many friends I’ve made from the blog.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who remembers that song 🙂
I still have that song on my iPod and I listen to it while running!
Love that picture in the living room? Where did you get it?? 🙂
I feel like curtains are the finishing “grown up” touch to a space . . . sadly, I don’t have any yet. 🙁 Someday I will be a real grown up, too!
Isn’t it the best when you are totally looking forward to your leftovers? Love that!
I won that sauce in a Christmas yankee gift exchange, and it is amazing!
Can i just say this title made you my favorite blogger ever! I don’t think i’ve ever commented, but this title is to amazing to not say anything!
Better you putting that as the title of your post than me. Let the google searching weirdos find your blog 🙂 I love that title, seriously good one!
I have met amazing ladies in the sphere too. I wish I could meet them all face to face, all at once, one day…
Curtains. Nothing like a little neck and shoulder cramping working above your head for hours at a time installing curtain rods, brackets, mounting them…i once blogged about curtains. And that they were almost the death of me 🙂
I can’t wait to meet up with some bloggies at blogher11!
Thai food is my favorite.. we have a vegan Thai resto right down the road that is delish!
That last dessert sounds amazing!!!
I know the hoes in different area codes feeling! Only mine is because I moved from St. Louis to San Antonio so I have new San Antonio hoes, STL hoes, and a few random hoes are the country from college!!
Who’s the blogger from 401? That’s my area code!
That dessert sounds amazing!!!
I have to agree, blogging has made me some great friends! You have friends where ever you go! Enjoy your evening! The place looks great! Love the curtains in the living room!
Hahaha! Love the title!
The curtains look fabulous! Maybe the wrinkles will “fall out” while hanging?
Love the title of your post! 😉 And I too love melting chocolate and putting fruit in it- yummm!
Seeing that bowl of melted chocolate w/ raspberries made me stop right in my tracks. I think I stared at that pic for a little too long. haha delicious!
I feel ridiculous sometimes because I’m like oh yeah I have a friend from there, oh yeah and another friend from near there and people are like man you have a lot of friends haha.
Also I love the new curtains, they do look great!
I cleaned/organized today. It was devilish. Talk about a workout.
love that picture of you guys. 🙂 there’s like 250 neighborhoods in Sydney so all my friends are in different area codes.
I can’t wait for Friday!! And I can’t believe how short my hair was in August!! It’s a lot longer now. 🙂
That is absolutely my kind of dessert! Lately I’ve been melting vegan chocolate spread with nutritional yeast and dipping raw vegan mango sunflower balls into it. SO GOOD.
Oh my gosh, your dessert looks incredible! I would definitely go for a third serving!! 🙂
LOL, best blog title ever!! Love it!
That chocolate sauce looks YUMMY! Where did you find it?
Those curtains are beautiful — I love the almost beach-y type look in your living room.
YAY 215!! Rhodeygirl!
That is so cool that you have met so many people through blogging — I only started a few months ago but I hope to be like you someday!
Hey Tina, not sure if you got your curtains at IKEA, but if so just an FYI, I have been told that the only real way (and the best way) to get the wrinkles out of those particular curtains is indeed with a steamer!!
I would definitely go back for thirds of that sauce. How delicious!
I love the curtains! I need some for our front window!
your leftovers look great! It’s been far too long since I’ve had Thai food. Nice choice on the curtains, I like your living room rug too!
I love the curtains! They are the perfect touch to the room. 🙂
Chocolate and Raspberries were made for each other! 🙂
xoxox
Kathleen
oh man i love that song
Where, oh where did you buy your curtains?! I love them! They definitely add a more “finished” look to the room.
Lowes.
I love all the friends I’ve made through blogging too. You’re lucky you’ve had the chance to meet so many of them in real life! 😀
I love how the blogworld brings people together from all over the place! Have fun with your guests!
I really like your blue couch! Such a pretty shade.
That is such a great picture of you and your blog friends, too!
Hmm, or is the couch gray? Either way, it’s very nice. 🙂
Am I the only one who thinks the title is a bit ridiculous, and definitely degrading toward women? We need to build each other up, not let men or young girls think it’s ok to call women “hoes”. I’m a long-time reader and a fan of your blog, but very disappointed to see this post.
It’s a lyric from a song. I think Tina just meant it as a lighthearted, funny way to say she has friends from across the country. 🙂
I agree with you, Kate. I understand it’s a song, but I still think it’s disrespectful towards women.
