Bar food is great for an occasional splurge, but wouldn’t it be nice if wasn’t loaded with so many empty calories and unhealthy fats?! Blog friends, your prayers have been answered! š
Last weekend, I made a delicious batch of “healthy” Buffalo Cheese Fries. They were warm, cheesy, and reminded me of the “real deal,” but without all of that yucky stuff. I actually liked my homemade recipe better than the greasy restaurant version!
Ingredients:
- 2 potatoes
- 1/3 cup buffalo sauce (more if desired)
- Shredded cheddar cheese (as much or as little as you want)
- S&P
How to:
- Preheat oven to 450*F.
- Cut potatoes into “fries.”
- Coat fries with buffalo sauce. I put the fries into a large mixing bowl, poured the buffalo sauce over them, and tossed until they were fully covered.
- Spread fries evenly on greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until fries are “crispy.”
- Remove fries from oven and immediately top with shredded cheddar so it melts.
- Eat and enjoy!

Those look really tasty š I will have to make them since baseball season is starting up soon… its always great to treat yourself to a little something without all the extra oils/fats.
I love making homemade fries, they are so much better baked anyways. Sweet potato are my fav!
Yum.

I seriously love buffalo sauce! I add it to everything….eggs, salads, I dip breadsticks in it…so good! Funny though because I think the actual buffalo wings are gross, I just like the sauce š

YUM!!!! They look great.
I want them! I’m on a buffalo wing sauce kick recently. I don’t like buffalo wings but love the sauce, that neon-orange sauce is better than any hot sauce I’ve had. I even use it in my oatmeal. Don’t know why I never thought to put it on fries, good call.
Tina, These look delicious!!
These sound awesome Tina! I know I’ve told you this before, but Josh is a HUGE buffalo fan too and I know he would love these….and I just happen to have some extra potatoes laying around š
@Pearl: Nope.
healthy and fries in the same sentence? that is a COMPLETE winner in my book. š
