Good morning and greetings from Canyon Ranch Lenox! I will be spending the next 2.5 days here as part of a media visit. My friend Gina put me in touch with one of the public relations representatives at Canyon Ranch and the rest is history.
Visiting Canyon Ranch is something I’ve wanted to do since I was a teenager. I still remember reading about it in a magazine and wanting to go someday. Post-college, one of my friends and I planned to save up for a visit to Canyon Ranch, but then we ended up blowing our money on booze at bars and never went. Long story short, I am absolutely thrilled to be here and can’t wait to tell you all about it. I’m actually planning to take an āAdvanced X-TrainingāĀ class in a little bit, so I’m going to whizz through this post.
I left Regionals early yesterday afternoon, so I could make the 2-hour drive out to Lenox. (Canyon Ranch has six locations all over the country.) When I arrived, two super friendly gentleman greeted me at my car and offered to take my luggage to my room. What service! I was then directed to reservations in the main lobby to meet with a guest services attendant. She gave me a brief explanation of what Canyon Ranch was all about, gave me the lay of the land and explained where things are located, and told me how meals and activities worked. There’s a lot going on at Canyon Ranch, so I was both overwhelmed and excited at the same time.
Then, I was taken to my room for the next few days. It’s beautiful!
The bed is so comfortable. I pretty much melted down into the mattress before I fell asleep last night. It was heavenly.
There’s a filter on the side of the sink for fresh, filtered water. Definitely love that!
Workout
After being at Regionals all day and feeling totally inspired by the athletes, I had a ton of energy to burn, so I decided to go for a treadmill run in the gym.
The gym was massive! There was literally a sea of treadmills. The pic below is only half of them. To the left was just as many, but I couldn’t get a good picture of it all. Plus, there was a woman walking on one of them, and I was asked to be discreet with my photo-taking while I am here, which, of course, I totally understand. If I was coming here for a relaxing vacation, I wouldn’t want some rando snapping pictures of me.
Check out this gym! It has everything! It even had speed ropes, so I did some Double Unders to finish off my workout.
Dinner
After my workout, I headed back to my room to shower up before going to dinner. There are a couple of different dining options at Canyon Ranch Lenox: the main dining room and CafĆĀ© Tasse. I didn’t have reservations for the dining room last night, so I popped into the CafĆĀ© for dinner. FYI: You don’t have to ādressāĀ for dinner or anything like that. I saw plenty of people in workout gear at dinner, so it’s definitely a casual atmosphere.
For dinner, I had Salad NiƧoise.
And French Onion soup. Both were fresh, flavorful, and delicious.
And, of course, I always have room for dessert. I had two gluten-free chocolate chip cookies with a decaf black vanilla tea. Mmm!
Once I finished eating, I took my tea to go and headed back to my room to plan my schedule for today. There’s seriously SO MUCH TO DO! I am pumped for today.
Question of the Day
What’s on your list of places you want to visit someday?
Mine: Grand Canyon, Greece, Key West.
Disclosure: Canyon Ranch is hosting me at their Lenox location free of charge as part of a media visit. As always, the opinions expressed are all my own.

I had no idea there was a Canyon Ranch in Lenox. Looks wonderful. My wish list for destination is a bike tour in Tuscany.
I want to visit Australia, Egypt, and the Galapagos! Key West is a blast! If you go, you and Mal have to do the Duval crawl…aka booze fest. It’s so much fun. They also have pink taxis…which I was incredibly excited about š My girlfriends and I had plans to let all cabs pass us that were not pink at the end of the night because we wanted the pink one..and the first one we got was pink, so it was meant to be š
Holy moly I need to go here. You just solved my case. I’ve been looking to find a place this Fall to go to. I love that gym. That looks fabulous! Those gluten free cookies look yummo

I’d love to a Jason Vale juice retreat! The new one in Portugal looks amazing!
That gym looks so ridiculously awesome! Usually the ones at hotels are only mediocre, but I would pay to go there!
I’d love to go to the Galapagos and Machu Picchu!
I too have always wanted to visit Canyon Ranch! I feel like it is vacation for fitness and health geeks! I would also love to cycle through Tuscany, relax in an over-the-water bunaglow in the Maldives, kayak in Croatia, and see the Cherry Blossoms in Japan!

Hi Tina,
I’ve been to Canyon Ranch before and LOVED my time there. I return home feeling energized, nourished and cared for. CR is a magical place!
I noticed that you misspelled “Lenox” in your blog title. I’m sure the lovely PR folks would want you to correct that to increase traffic to your blog/their website.
Enjoy the rest of your visit!
Oops! Thanks!
Looks like a lot of fun!
I want to go to Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Italy.
I used to work at Canyon Ranch Lenox during a summer in high school and my dad has worked there for ~15 years. Love the place and used to use the gym on my lunch break. Have fun! Enjoy the Berkshires š

That looks amazing! That’s the biggest hotel gym I’ve ever seen (not to mention the nicest and most well-equipped), and I love the fact that there’s filtered water in the bathroom. Brilliant! š Have an awesome time today!
Daaang, this places looks totally amazing! I just hopped over to the Canyon Ranch website and got lost there for WAY too long š A trip out there isn’t in the budget right now, but I’ve already shown my husband what he can get me for my birthday, lol. Looks amazing! I too have always wanted to go to the Canyon Ranch, ever since my friend Becca stayed there! It seems so beautiful and luxurious and is actually on my own list of places to visit. I’d also like to go to London, Paris and Hawaii (I went to Hawaii when I was younger and it was AMAZING). I think I’d appreciate even more now that I’m older.
Ah there are several places I would like to visit: Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Seattle, New York, and Hawaii. Not sure I’ll make it to all of them š
Looks like so much! I bet it will be a great couple days!
Wow…the hotel room looks amazing! And the gym…so cool! Have fun!
I’m with ya on Greece….so beautiful. Crete in particular because allegedly the Cretans enjoy a diet rich in healthy foods and live long lives.
If you go to Grand Canyon, the South or North rims are the best for hiking and views. We flew into Vegas, drove in a rental and hiked for the day at the South Rim. But I’d love to camp out there. Key West is gorgeous, but I haven’t been since I was 19.
My dream trip within the US is Savannah, GA it looks so pretty in all the books and mags!
I want to go to Shanghai, Spain and the Galapagos Islands!!!
I finally went to Yellowstone last summer and it was just so AMAZING. Totally recommend it if you haven’t been š
Key West is one of my favorite places on earth. I love, love, love everything about it and cannot wait to go back! You HAVE to go soon!
Places I want to go: New York City, Paris, Italy
I have to say, that is probably the BEST hotel gym I have ever seen. Heck, it puts my regular gym to shame!!
I was to visit all the national parks in the US. I’m a nerd like that.
Italy, Greece, and Spain. Also any other country along the Mediterranean.
That gym looks pretty darn awesome!
Greece, Australia, and in the US, San Diego. I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to already go to a lot of the places I wanted to go to! š
The Grand Canyon is breathtaking. One of the best things I’ve ever seen. I’d love to go to Japan.
I was at CR Lenox in Feb and loved it. I liked to start mu day with a pre breakfast stretch class. All of the yoga classes were awesome and I also recommend checking out the pool classes. It goes without saying that the spa treatments are amazing. Make sure to try the virgin margaritas. I loved their blueberry pancakes. We also found the lectures at night to be great. I wouldn’t bother with the gym- try to pack in as many classes/ hikes/cooking demos etc , since that is what CR is known for! Also, I loved the lemonade/ flavored water/ sports drinks in the fitness area!
Thanks for all of the recommendations! š
That gym looks amazing!
Ooooohhhh that place looks amazing!
schweeeeeeet gym! and hotel room! and food! hope you’re having a blast! š
Wow, I was looking for an all-inclusive hotel for a vacation, but this place is very expensive. I’m curious to find out if you thought this would be worth it if you were paying for it out-of-pocket.

That looks like an absolutely beautiful place to stay!
I would love to visit Greece, Maine, and Seattle someday… I’ve lived in the South throughout my entire life and think that it would be awesome to get out and explore!
