Hi, friends!
Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful dinner hosted by Google Express, a new, same-day delivery service that is making its debut around the country with Boston being one of its first markets. Oh, Google, what will you think of next? It sounds like an amazing service and one that I would use all the time. I mean, hello, same-day delivery? One less errand to run? Sign me up!
The event was held at Serafina, a modern Italian restaurant in downtown Boston that I’ve only heard good things about, so I was really looking forward to dining there.
Our group of about 20 mom bloggers enjoyed a fun cocktail hour before dinner. It was nice to kick back and enjoy a glass of wine while getting to know some new (and old!) blog friends.
I also enjoyed some tasty passed appetizers.
Both the meatballs and fried artichokes were phenomenal!
A little while later, we were all invited to sit down for dinner.
The table was gorgeous.
The flowers = perfection.
After a few words from Amber Fillerup Clark of Barefoot Blonde, who co-hosted the event (her blog is adorable), it was time to eat.
We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal that everyone raved about. I swear, each dish just got better and better.
Caprese – Imported Italian mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and basil
Ravioli al Tartufo Nero – Homemade black truffle ravioli with butter
Creme Brulee
Group pic!
After dinner, we each received a special gift from Google Express to try out their service for free. (I’m seriously counting down the days until it comes to my area!)
I also received a special $25 promo code to share with you guys, so be sure to check out Google Express to see what it’s all about. Even if it’s not in your area yet, keep a look out for new delivery locations since they’re expanding and adding many new zip codes this year.
Promo code: EXPRESSBOSTON
Please note this code is capped at the first 2,500 shoppers to redeem it. Applies only to first purchase and not to delivery fees or in-app purchases. Valid until 8/2/15. For complete terms and conditions, visit g.co/shopexpressterms.
Question of the Day
If you could have something delivered to your house RIGHT NOW, what would it be?
Many of the (beautiful) photos in this post were provided by Briana Moore Photography.

What a beautiful event! I would have a new outfit for the party I am hosting tomorrow. I was so busy planning the party somehow it slipped my mind to plan out what I am going to wear!
I tried to use the code, but it says not valid. Whoops!
Hmmm… is the service available in your area?
@Tina: Yup, I am in Cambridge, MA! I chatted with a rep and he told me Google has no record of that code. Oh, well!
So sorry for the confusion. I just contacted the Google Express folks and will have a solution for you shortly!
@Tina: It’s okay, no worries! I probably messed up on the order somehow. I love your blog!
My favorite Greek restuarant. They have the best jalapeรยฑo hummus and chicken veggie wraps OR anything from True Foods Kitchen as long as it includes their sweet potato hash & kale salad. Can you tell I’m hungry?
That caprese salad right to my doorstep, right now!
Could I have my best friend delivered to my front door? I think Google could handle that! Haha
Would you happen to have the blog names of each person present – you could list and link to? There are a few faces that look familiar but for the life of me I can’t remember names….I blame old age…lol!
Love this! I work at the Google HQ, and it’s fun to spot one of our events on your blog! My husband and I use Google Express ALL THE TIME, and it seriously saves us so many errands! It saves money too, since I no longer wander the aisles of Target making impulse buys! ๐
Very interesting. I have not heard of this service yet. I will have to see what it is all about and if it is in our area. If I could have one thing delivered right now, it would be a new pair of running shoes. I need them desperately, but keep putting off the purchase when running errands each weekend.
Hi Tina – just letting you know the restaurant is spelled ‘Serafina,’ not Serapina like you have in the link ๐ I’ve been wanting to try it, looks delicious!
Thanks!
cool! Oh I would order dog meds (tick & Heartworm) that I keep forgetting to order!!
Lame, but necessary!
I keep forgetting too. Thanks for the reminder!
whoa. What will they think of next?!! haha, technology is awesome. If I could have something delivered right now it would be sleepytime tea!! I ran out this week but am waiting until I go grocery shopping next week to get it ๐
That’s awesome! What a fun event! I love Amber’s blog! ๐
Me too! She has such an adorable family!
What a fun event!! Their trucks are all over DC.
