Yep, I’m definitely having a good time at Fitbloggin!!
Of course, I’m taking advantage of the sessions and learning a lot, but, really, I love coming to conferences to hang out with my blog buddies!
This morning, I took an early flight from Boston to Baltimore and totally passed out on the flight. So, when I arrived at BWI, I was cranky, exhausted, and a little bit disorientated. Luckily, I found some iced coffee and bumped into Monica and her husband, Ben. Things got better after that.
The three of us took the Super Shuttle to the hotel together. I’m a space cadet and had no idea where I was staying for the weekend, but thanks to Monica, I ended up at the right hotel and the shuttle man didn’t kick me out of the van. Clearly, I need to get my life together. Derp.
After successfully arriving at the hotel, I checked-in, went up to my hotel room, and then registered for Fitbloggin.
So far, I’m loving Fitbloggin. It’s extremely well-organized and everyone is supportive, warm, and friendly. I love the positive vibe, and I’ve already met a ton of wonderful people. Fibloggin has only just started, but I’m already a huge fan of this conference.
Before lunch, a group of us got hungry, so we took a quick trip to Whole Foods for snacks.
I took advantage of the free samples. Obviously.
We also acted like it was our first time ever at a Whole Foods and snapped a bunch of photos. (Sometimes, I think bloggers really can’t help themselves.)
Before I knew it, it was time for lunch””and it was a good thing because I was starving!
The lunch spread included a big spinach salad with beets and gorgonzola cheese, roasted veggies, and a variety of sandwiches.
I grabbed a roast beef sandwich with caramelized onions and Gruyere cheese and a bunch of roasted veggies.
After lunch, Monica and I took another trip to Whole Foods for dessert. I picked a vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting. Delish.
The day’s events are just about over, and we’re gearing up for a cocktail party next!
