Snack
Mid-morning, my stomach started to grumble, so I made a snack plate with a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Scone, some walnuts, and a dark chocolate Adora disk. The little bit of protein and fat from the walnuts held off my hungry for a couple of hours.
Lunch
For lunch, I made an open-faced sandwich on Italian bread with Teddie peanut butter, chopped celery, and raisins.
This was a fun lunch! š
Snack
I still wanted something to eat after finishing my lunch, so I dug into a SOYJOY bar and an apple a little while later. I’m feeling snacky today.
I’m taking the pug for a walk next. He’s been super lazy today. Must be the weather.
See ya for dinner! š
P.S. I’ve only received a few bids for Katie’s Fudge Babies. The high bid is $50 (at 3:05 pm), but I know we can do better. Please consider bidding for some yummy goodies and a great cause!

*Keeping fingers crossed*
P.S. Now I’m craving scones… and chocolate. Oh wait, I’m always craving chocolate!
Oh gosh, those Adore discs are amazing aren’t they!?? Who’d know they’re so good for you…
I wish I could bid on the Fudge Babies š
Thanks. This is a great resource!
ok, sad story: your posts never actually show up for me! usually they show up in my reader before you actually have written them and then don’t load until 3 hours later š
BUT this one worked and i can’t wait to go through the posts you’ve already written about blogging š
I want those fudge babies!!!
your lunch reminds me of my favorite snack as a kid– ants on a log! celery with PB in the crevice, with raisins on them to act as “ants”! my twin brother and i started eating that in kindergarten, and still eat it as 25 year old adults!
Looks like a tasty afternoon! Enjoy your walk!
Same for me. Your posts don’t show up. Only in reader. This is the first post thats showed up for me š Sorry š
@Estela @ Weekly Bite: @Heather (Heather’s Dish): If it happens, just refresh my post in your reader.
It looks like a lunch flashback to my elementary school snacks…just in sandwich form. š
Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for these posts! As a longtime reader but very new blogger, I have a feeling I’ll be coming back to them a lot!
Thanks for linking all your blog related posts! Now I only wish I had already made the pumpkin scones so I would have a yummy mid-day snack!! Guess this means ill just have to make them when I get home!
I love adora disks. They always hit my chocolate cravings in the morning and afternoon..and provide calcium! Yes please!
Thanks for posting about blogging. As a new blogger, I will definitely be reading up on your advice.
Have a great day!
I love that first pic! I want to frame that or get those blocks.
it’s an ants on a log sandwich!
I just saw the idea of a peanut butter, celery, and raisin sandwich in Real Simple! My first reaction was, “peanut butter and celery… gross!” But I just realized that the sandwich is a different twist on Ants on a Log. Duh! Thanks for listing all of your posts related to blogging!
Thanks for sharing all of the blogging info Tina!
I liked your lunch until the celery part š But I suppose it is ants on a log on bread, right? I guess I believe you that it tastes good!
Oh my gosh! I’m lovin’ all this info in wonderful! i thank you so much for taking the time to write these blog posts! i’m definitely trying to get my blog on!! š I do have a question. You may not be able to answer b/c you’re not a mommy yet :), but do you have any blogging tips for a stay at home mommy to a 13 month old? I see you have the 9 to 5 er tips…but maybe you know a mommy blogger? š I just started my blog one month ago….I do have a business with it, but right now, since being home with baby girl, I’ve decided to just blog (see where it leads me)…and I have a Journalism degree, so writing comes pretty easy for me…but I’d really like to move my blog forward and wondering how I can do that while taking care of baby girl. Hope I’ve made sense here!
I really need to try those scones!! deeelish!! š
Thanks for the bloggin tips! Mine’s a newbie:)
ants on a log in sandwich form!?! great idea =)
@Renee @ Get Inner-gized with Renee! !: I’m not a mom, so I don’t know. But, a lot of the ideas are easily transferable! š
I seriously need to make these pumpkin scones… but first need to hunt down some canned pumpkin!
Ok, call me a creeper, but I thought of a great name for your sandwich… since it’s so close to ants on a log, I think I’d call this (at least for a resident 5-year-old) “Bugs on a Plank” or even “ants and grubs on a shingle”
I’m a weirdo.
Thanks for all of the tips on blogging. Just started one after wanting to for a long time. Always enjoy your posts and recipes!
Celery looks so pretty on a sandwich! š
Thanks for linking all of those posts! As a new blogger I find that really helpful when you pros share your knowledge. The blogging community is so supportive!
Eats look amazing. With food that tasty I think I’d be feeling snacky too! Thanks for sharing your posts about blogging. š
Thanks for the links to the informative posts! It’s nice to read about a successful blogger’s path:)
I love your posts about blogging. You should do a series on it, or a weekly feature. I find it so interesting how you do it.
Hi Tina! I had a question, do you ever get nervous that someone will see on your blog that you’re on vacation and break into your house or something? I am hesitant to put any blatant “I’m on vacation” photos up in case someone knows I’m away. What are your thoughts on that? Since you have so many readers, do you ever get concerned about stalkers or anything? I think I’m just overly paranoid. Thanks!
@Kelley: No, never. I don’t think any of my readers know where I live.
i just got an email from a reader asking if i use anything to make “the actor’s diet” more easily searchable for google? and i don’t and was wondering if i should – do you? if so, any tips?
@Lynn (The Actors Diet): Sadly, I have no idea about SEO. I need to hire someone to work on my blog or teach me a few things. Sorry that I’m not more help.
It was so nice to read about how you started blogging and everything else that grew out of it…I was especially touched reading the time last year when you resigned from your job…reason being is that I am at the point in my life where I, too, am thinking of resigning from a high-paying but stressful job to focus more on fitness training. I believe that I will finally do it…am just waiting for the “perfect time” in the next few weeks.
Those scones still look so tasty.
I loveee your lunch! Grown up version of ants on a log! š
I wish I could have that first snack of yours for every meal today…
All of this information on starting a blog is extremely helpful!! I am just beginning one, the most challenging part for me is to remember to take photos during the day! I’m hoping to get better at this in the next few weeks!
Tina – You’re post couldn’t have come at a better time! I just started my own blog (like seriously, last night!) and was wondering where to find some tips! Thanks so much!
