Happy Friday, friends!

I had such a fun day with my friend Kerrie yesterday. We were invited by the nice folks from Chestnut Hill Square for a fitness- and food-focused day, and it was amazing. My gosh, we had a great time.

Check out our agenda: SoulCycle class, followed by lunch at sweetgreen, shopping at Athleta, and cupcakes at Sweet. Hellllo. All of my favorite things in one day! (My past reviews: SoulCycle, sweetgreen, Athleta, Sweet.)

Our first visit was SoulCycle for a class, where upon entering the studio, we saw Giselle Bundchen, fresh from her own workout. NBD. And, of course, Kerrie and I were totally starstruck. I wanted to say hello or snap a picture, but I restrained myself and acted cool(ish). If you’re curious, she looked like she had just worked out (messy hair, sweaty), but she was still absolutely stunning in person. She also wasn’t nearly as tall as I thought she’d be. I mean, she’s tall. She’s a supermodel (duh), but not super tall. So, yea, local readers, Giselle works out at the SoulCycle in Chestnut Hill… you know, if you wanted to ‘bump’ into her or take a class with her or something.

The class itself: A+. I still think SoulCycle is one of the funnest most fun workouts I have ever done. Party on a bike for sure! I love, love, love it. Everything about it. And I would do it all the time if it was closer. Dear SoulCycle: Please come to the South Shore. Please, please.

After class, Kerrie and I did some shopping at Athleta. We were each given a gift card to the store, so Kerrie got an adorable mint hoodie, and I went with a fun mesh tank in lily pad. And there were like a hundred other things that I wanted. Man, their stuff is cute.

Then, it was time for lunch at sweetgreen. (Oh, yes. I was pumped.) Their winter menu had so many delicious options, I had trouble deciding what to order.

I eventually went with the Portobello, Squash + Wild Rice Bowl, which was fantastic. Holy yum! In the mix: organic wild rice + shredded kale, warm portobello mushrooms, butternut squash, caramelized onions, beets, and basil with miso sesame ginger dressing. It was so fresh and so flavorful and the dressing… yum. I honestly could eat sweetgreen everyday and never get bored with it.

Our visit concluded with a very sweet ending at Sweet!

I ordered the Sweet Cake, which is Madagascar vanilla bean cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and sprinkles. It was incredible. I must have said: “This is so good,” about a half dozen times while eating it. Both the frosting and cake were out of this world. (Cupcakes are good because of the frosting, but they’re great because of the cake. This cupcake was GREAT!)

All in all, it was a fabulous way to spend the day with a friend. In fact, Kerrie and I are already planning our next visit to Chestnut Hill Square. On the agenda: Another SoulCycle class (obviously), a visit to DryBar followed by dinner and drinks at Seasons 52, which we were told has an amazing deal called “Flights & Flatbreads” where you get a flight of three wines, a full glass of wine of your favorite, and a flatbread for just $15. Pretty awesome, right? We are all over that!

I’ve been reading since the verrrrrrry beginning, and you want me to pick ONE favorite!? haha, no way! I LOVE your blog, my favorite thing about CNC is that you are so genuine. It’s obvious with every post, which I cannot say about a lot of other bloggers. I’m sure if you weren’t famous and lived on the same coast as me, we’d be friends. (that’s probably so creepy for you – ha!) Also, love the stitch fix credit, I’m a stylist for them! I love when I see you sporting our stuff in pictures! You’ve been inspiring me to live a healthy life for years, which I should thank you for. Of course I love your fitness posts, recipes, travel, but especially Family (Murph, Mal, Q, home, etc.) Congrats on 7 years! xoxo

Congrats! Please email me at tina@carrotsncake.com with your full name, mailing address, and your choice of flavor of Nikki’s Coconut Butter.

Questions of the Day

Have you ever worked out with a celebrity?

What restaurant could you eat at almost everyday and never get sick of it?

P.S. In addition to the amazing businesses mentioned above, Chestnut Hill Square also has a WEGMANS (totally obsessed), anthropologie, Starbucks, Red Mango, Equinox with a juice bar, a running store, and so much more. I could seriously live there.
