Many thanks for all of your wonderful comments about my Lose the Dough game plan. Hopefully, it gives you some ideas for your own Lose the Dough challenge! 😀 I’m really excited for its “official” start tomorrow– 5 months exactly to my 30th birthday. Five month is a long time! I hope you guys are on board for the long-haul.
Luckily, my wonderful and amazing husband offered to drive me to Healthworks. What a nice guy!
(I think he really just wanted to see how his new car handles in the snow! 😉 )
Before starting my workout, I snacked on a Cherry Cashew-flavored Pure Bar. I don’t normally eat before a mid-day workout, but there was no way I could make it through a 90-minute workout on an empty stomach!
I started with 30 minutes on the elliptical while “keeping up” with the Kardashians. I put the resistance up to 10 on the elliptical and kept my speed between 7.0 – 7.5. I was fairly winded and sweaty by the end of 30 minutes. It felt like a decent cardio session to me.
Then, I took a Body Pump class! 😀
Today’s class was quite a bit easier than last week’s class. Maybe I just knew what to expect from Body Pump 72, but I was mostly back to my old weight on all of the tracks and it felt great! The lunge track, however, was KILLER! My buns and thighs were screaming by the end! 😯 I even had to stop and rest at one point! But, I do love that burn! 😉
After Body Pump, I hit the showers.
The Healthworks locker room was fairly quiet this afternoon, so I snapped a bunch of photos. Having a camera (or even camera phone) in the locker room at Healthworks is highly “illegal,” but I made sure not to include any members in the photos. Hopefully, I don’t get in trouble!
Anyway, I love the Healthworks locker room and just wanted to share a little photo tour on the blog. It’s so spa-like! 😀
After showering and “prettying” myself, I headed to Starbucks to eat lunch and do some writing. I packed a PB & J on Sandwich Thins and a banana for lunch.
I also drank a lot of water to rehydrate after my workout.
A little while later, I ordered a decaf, non-fat, sugar-free vanilla latte. Mmm!
I was totally feeling the writing + Starbucks thing this afternoon, so I ordered another half cup of decaf coffee.
I was PSYCHED to see that Starbucks had SOY MILK available on the condiment bar. Finally!
OpenSky Helps Haiti
OpenSky has decided to extend their “Helping Haiti” initiative for a few more days. During this initiative, they’ll continue to donate 100% of the profits generated from OpenSky sales to Haiti relief funds. There’s never been a better time to shop at OpenSky!
Mal and I are making chili for dinner and then we’re showing our apartment to 3 more people. Hopefully, someone bites!
