I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.


An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Did you know that February 3rd is National Carrot Cake Day? It’s also the day that I published my very first post on Carrots ‘N’ Cake. Quite the coincidence, right? I guess it was meant to be!

On February 3, 2008, Carrots ”˜N’ Cake was born. Four years later, she’s still kicking!

I can’t believe four years of my life (and food) are documented on the Internet. Crazy! It’s even more crazy to think about all of the amazing opportunities CNC has afforded me over the years. Here are just some of them:

What started as a fun, little hobby has become such a huge part of my life, and I thank each and every one of you for that. Carrots ”˜N’ Cake wouldn’t be what it is today without you.

Over the years, you’ve gone through a wide variety of changes and challenges – changing work, being married, changing up your exercise and eating choices, and dealing with illness, and I love how C&C has served as a great example of how you’ve been able to adjust and deal with it all. For so many of us, change can be so challenging that it’s hard to think about how to adjust and move forward, and blogs like yours can be such an inspiration, letting us know that it’s just LIFE after all, and to approach it with an optimistic attitude!

  12. I like reading about your workouts, especially the treadmill workouts. I don’t use them on the treadmill, but take them to the streets. It’s nice to mix up my normal routine!
