I received the Fitbit Versa for Mother’s Day, and I’ve just been dying to tell you guys all about it! I’ve also gotten a bunch of questions from you all, so now is the time to share the deets! Here’s my official Fitbit Versa review! 🙂
I know there are tons of fitness trackers available on the market right now, but Fitbit really hit out of the ballpark with the Versa and all of its awesome features. I have to admit, I love it more than I thought I would! This, of course, inspired this Fitbit Versa review.
Female fertility tracking capabilities
One feature that particularly caught my attention was the female fertility tracking. With the Fitbit Versa (and on the Fitbit app), you can track your menstrual cycles, predict your next ovulation and period, and log any symptoms. As I’ve worked to regain balance with my hormones, I’ve truly come to realize that the more you know about your body, the more power you have to make informed decisions regarding your health. I’ve personally learned how much impact your hormones can have on every facet of your life, so being able to connect the dots between the time of the month and how I’m feeling brings a whole new level of insight that I find so interesting! It’s been really cool to compare my current and past cycles, revealing patterns that I didn’t know were there. I now have a better understanding about what’s going on in my body, and why – there have definitely been a few Aha! moments for me!
In addition to its fertility tracking capabilities, the Fitbit Versa also tracks heart rate, sleep quality (I’m super into the sleep tracking), and workouts.
I’m truly fascinated by the sleep trends that the Versa supplies. Actually, ALL of the trend reports are interesting. Now that I’ve had it for about a month now, there’s all sorts of data to analyze! #nerdalert
What apps does the Fitbit Versa work with?
The Versa also integrates with all sorts of apps like MyFitnessPal, RunKeeper, and Pandora – you can even add your Starbucks card to it to scan right from the watch! Plus, there are lots of add-on features, like calendars, calculators, memory games, and even a flashlight. I especially love that you can switch up the clock face from hundreds of options for free whenever you want. It also has fun, interchangeable bands so you can mix-and-match according to your outfit or mood. FYI: They’re way cheaper on Amazon!
The Versa can receive text messages and vibrates when my phone rings, which is super helpful since I never have my ringer on. It also has a cool coaching feature, and I absolutely love the reminders. They help me stay committed to my healthy lifestyle by reminding me when I need to move more or get ready for bed. I definitely find myself getting to bed earlier and walking more throughout the day. Plus, Mal and I have been setting daily challenges to see who can fit in more steps, which has been absolutely ridiculous. We get so competitive with one another! 🙂 You can even taunt each other through the app!
So, is the FitBit Versa worth it? I’d say 100% yes! It’s so much more than just a fitness tracker, and waaaay cheaper than the Apple watch! I’ve found myself walking more, sleeping more, being more committed to my workouts, and paying more attention to my health as a whole. I’m a big fan! I hope you found this Fitbit Versa review helpful!
P.S. I’m planning to chat about the Versa on Instagram Live tomorrow afternoon, so tune in for more details as I profess my love for it! 🙂

I pre-ordered the Versa and LOVE it!!! My first Fitbit was way back with the Flex and the 3 little dotted lights, I lost interest quick. Versa has so many helpful screens and tracking options!!
Awesome! I’ve been a fan of Fitbit for a while now and I was planning to buy the Fitbit Versa soon. I’m glad you are happy with it!
Hi Tina! I am so glad you love it – I work for Fitbit so your review made me so happy!
@Bri: It’s seriously the best!! 🙂
I’m buying a Versa soon so I was happy to see you love it. Do you have a screen protector on it? I need a recommendation for a good one!
I don’t. Do I need one?!
@Tina: my husband has convinced me that I need one to protect it from scratches and potentially cracking.
I loved reading this review! I’ve been looking into the Fitbit Versa, as I really want a fitness tracker – watch style – but didn’t want to spend the big bucks on the Apple Watch (which my husband has & loves). I’ve been hesitant though, as I worry slightly about the whole Bluetooth – WiFi & unknown possible health risks. Any personal thoughts on this? Thanks!!
@Gray: I’m not super worried about it – maybe a little – but not something I’m worried about on a daily basis.
Do you find the heart rate to be pretty accurate as if you were wearing a chest monitor?
@Heather: A chest monitor is definitely more accurate, but the Fitbit does a really good job, especially during workouts. The HR changes while you work out and it even gets my super low resting HR. The data it provides is super interesting too!
I’ve had the Fitbit Blaze for a couple years now (very similar model) and I absolutely love it! It’s totally helped me get a handle on my sleep, which I really wasn’t expecting!
It’s funny- a couple people at the gym have asked how I get my apple watch to work with my Samsung phone. Umm… it’s a fitbit?
So many people ask me if it’s an Apple Watch too!
I’m in the market for a new running watch. Does this have GPS tracking?
It tracks your running, but not your route. BUT the Versa integrates with the RunKeeper app! 🙂
Thank you for such a wonderful review, Tina.
What I love about it is the fact that you are writing from a personal point of view, which means you have actually tried the product yourself. I love Garmin by the way. I guess that’s especially because of its battery life, reminder to move feature, and the heart rate monitor technology. I have not heard much about versa, but your post has motivated me to check that out.
Thank you, and keep doing the great work.
Great review Tina. I’ve been using Polar m430 for over 6 months now and I’m quite happy but I really like the look of Fitbit now. The question is should I buy it…. 🙂
I was going to upgrade to Apple watch but the price is just killing it for me. Fitbit might be a nice alternative tho.
Thanks
I can’t tell what it is that you’re drinking in that first image but whatever it is, I want it!
