This Fig & Bacon Grilled Cheese Sandwich takes this simple sandwich to a whole new level. With just four ingredients, it tastes totally gourmet!
Even though I don’t include a ton of dairy in my everyday diet, I adore cheese as much as the next person. We typically save cheese for special occasions – date nights, dinner parties with friends, and the occasional (and necessary) grilled cheese sandwich – my idea of pure comfort food! Say hello to your new favorite sandwich: Fig & Bacon Grilled Cheese!
I first experienced this amazing flavor combination at Lucky Finn Cafe in Scituate. It’s one of our favorite places to get breakfast. “The Figgy” sandwich immediately caught my attention… and, whoa, it did not disappoint. I loved it so much, I just had to recreate it at home!
This Fig & Bacon Grilled Cheese (I mean, how could those ingredients not be delicious together!?) tastes like such a gourmet indulgence, but truth is, it can be made in under 10 minutes with just 4 ingredients.
It’s not only great for lunch or an easy dinner, but breakfast too!

The pictures of that grilled cheese makes me want to go out shopping for the ingredients NOW. Looks great. Love grilled cheese, and then add bacon and …. . ‘Nuff said. Thx.
Yayy! I hope you try it. Let me know what you think!!
Fig grilled cheese bread sounds like such a great idea! Although I am more fancy and go for a prosciutto goat cheese, or maple bacon with Gruyere; or it’s just that I have a sweet spot for stinky cheese.
