Another week of training is in the books and, whoa, we are getting close to race day. It’s a week from TODAY! I still need to figure out my plan of attack as far as workouts go for this upcoming week, but I’ll likely front-load it with harder workouts (i.e. CrossFit and mid-distance runs) and then taper off and rest as I get closer to the big day. I can’t believe my fall half marathon is almost here!!

I love how you have incorporated Cross Fit with all of your training!!! I’m going to look back through all of your weeks of training, as I’d love to do something similar with my HIIT workouts. I hate to miss out on them during training season, so if I can incorporate them, all the better!!! 🙂
Is your race next weekend or the following? I’m sure you’re going to do well!
It’s a week from today! 🙂
I love reading about other mamas training!
I’m training for my first marathon back post babies. I definitely need to incorporate strength training!
Good luck on your race!!
I found my way to your website via your interview on Girls Gone WOD – love all the workouts and nutrition information! I also live on the south shore and will be running in Norwell this weekend, looking forward to those hills 🙂 Good luck!
Heyyy! Welcome to CNC! 🙂 Good luck this weekend! I hope I’m ready for the hills! 🙂
good luck!!
Hi! What are your thoughts on the Brooks Half Zip that you are wearing in the photo? Does it keep you warm? I am looking for a windproof but warm half zip (if I have to layer that’s fine). Thanks for your help!
Yea, it’s awesome! It’s definitely wind-resistant and a little thick, so I think it’ll do well in the cold temps. I’ve only worn it in the low-40s, and it was quite toasty!
