I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

After drinking so much wine with dinner last night, I was more than happy to wake up early and sweat it out! Around 7:30 this morning, Kath, Heather, Jenna, and I headed to Healthworks for a workout.

Caitlin, Meghann, and Kelly went for a run by the Charles River, so they met us at Healthworks a little while later.

It felt so good to sweat! I did 35 minutes of cardio (running + elliptical) and a few minutes of abs on a stability ball.

After our workout, we headed straight to breakfast. All of us had worked up quite an appetite!

With Bay Village so close to our hotel, Mike & Patty’s was an easy decision for breakfast! (Remember how I raved about it a few weeks ago?)

For breakfast, I ordered the grilled banana sandwich with cinnamon and honey, which was sweet, gooey, and HOLY YUM! :mrgreen:

Each bite was a little piece of heaven!

We have a yummy lunch planned in Harvard Square this afternoon! Can’t wait!

    Tina i do have a question, lately (more like just the past day or so, your new posts aren’t coming up on my google read?) not sure why. I saw on Twitter that you had updated. maybe its just my computer!

  3. i, too, was feeling the effects of an indulgent dinner + late night this morning. a 20 minute run and a liter of water made me feel much better! your breakfast looks to die for! my boyfriend is going to BU Law in the fall, so i will defintely tell him to pay a visit to Mike & Patty’s.

  4. I ordered that sandwich when John and I went to Mike & Patty’s last weekend. SO GOOD! It’s like dessert for breakfast 🙂

  5. I just have to say I am officially obsessed with your blog. I check it multiple times a day and I always look foreward to your new posts. You also totally motivated me to work out more… especially after reading the Bob Greene comment!

    Oh and p.s. Murphy is to die for! A Pug puppy is my dream dog and I hope I will have one as adorable as him someday 🙂

  7. I really have to try Mike & Patty’s. It looks so good and they are always on the Phantom Gourmet. You guys are so good! You woke up so early to workout after such a long day. See you tonight.

  8. All of you are making me miss boston so much! And of course healthworks too…I loved being a member there and I love how I know exactly where Kath was on that stairmaster (next to those two ellipticals!). I am sure you are loving having everyone in your city! Oh and I am so sad I never went to Mike & Patty’s when I lived there…especially since I was just in the south end @ w. newton and columbus!
