Goooood morning!

I’m so glad that I went to bed early last night. It made getting up before the crack of dawn so much easier this morning! Luckily, I had just the thing to get me moving: Hayes Valley Espresso from Blue Bottle Coffee Co.

Blue Bottle Coffee is bad-ass. It’s super dark and seriously bold– it’ll put hair on your chest! I’ve been obsessed with it ever since I first tried it in San Francisco. So, when our friends, Beth and Corey, brought us some when they visited a couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t wait to grind-up the beans and try it at home. It did not disappoint!

The Blue Bottle beans made the most delicious espresso– deep golden brown, creamy, and frothy. Holy amazing! 😀

I used my TWIST to make a wonderful iced vanilla latte this morning. Remember when I had a videographer come to my apartment? Well, he taped me using the TWIST, so you can see me in action with it here. It’s the best little kitchen gadget!

Mmmmm… latte. 😉

To eat, I enjoyed some oats in a Barney Butter jar. In the mix: oats, chia seeds, wheat berries, banana, raisins, almond milk, and cinnamon. It was so good and so filing!

I have a seriously busy Saturday day ahead. My morning includes a workout and some errands downtown, the afternoon includes some beer drinking, and the evening includes dinner and drinks to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

I’m off! Enjoy the day! 😎

  1. Hahaha “It’ll put hair on your chest”. I’m so glad to hear that my family isn’t the only ones who say that. 😉

I’m not even a “coffee person”, but your description made me want to try that! Have fun and enjoy your Saturday.

  2. Thoguh I don’t drink coffee anymore, that espresso variety sounds pretty amazing. I’ve recently fallen in love with wheat berries, and have been trying to figure out ways that I can incorporate them into meals. Your wheat-berry oat mix is a great, filling idea. Thanks!

  3. I went to SF last month, stood in front of Blue Bottle Coffee and didn’t try it! The line was just too long! Now I’m kicking myself! Oh well! Next time… or when I move back 🙂

  4. Tina,

I just saw your video for the “handheld espresso twisty thing” and I have to say that I would have never thought that such a little device could yield such a rich espresso with a foamy top.. I am considering this machine simply because I personally purchased about 3 machines in the last 4 years and have all 3 poop out on me .. :(….

Anywho, I enjoyed reading your morning post as per my usual. And I have to tell you the delish cupcakes your hubby brought home for you last night had me salivating.. LOL

Take care and I hope you enjoy a relaxing Saturday with M&M…
