Heyyyy! What do you think of my new ellasport New Power Capris? Pretty nice, right? Pamela Oelerich, the founder of ellasport, sent me a pair for free to review on my blog AND she said I could giveaway a pair to one lucky reader! Woohoo!

But, first, let’s recap my afternoon eats. I’ll make it quick””promise!

Lunch

I went into NuVal for a few hours today, so I packed a lunch with me to eat while there. On the menu: leftover Israeli couscous with cannellini beans and a container of Blood Orange Chobani Greek Yogurt, which might just be their best flavor yet. I absolutely loved it! YUM!

Snack

When I got home from NuVal, I ate an orange.

And then a piece of toast with peanut butter spread on top.

ellasport New Power Capris: Review & Giveaway

The New Power Capris are great workout pants. They fit well, they’re flattering (they sit low on the hips), and they feel nice on my skin (I hate itchy workout clothes). The fabric itself is awesome””soft and sort of silky and heavy duty without being too thick. It basically holds everything in and “smooths” things out, if ya know what I mean.

There’s a neat, handy-dandy pocket on that back with a zipper for your keys, GU, ID, etc. and it’s made of mesh for breathability.

Just a quick heads-up about this pocket: it’s a tad see-through if you decide to wear undies with them. I almost learned this the hard way when I wore a bright pink thong before CrossFit one night. Thankfully, Mal pointed it out before I left the house and embarrassed myself!

I also really like the length of these carpi pants. Sometimes capris are too short and bunch up around my knees, but these are long enough that they don’t do that. They also have a fun ellasport logo on the back right leg, which is kind of cool. I’ve never seen a logo there before.

And, finally, these pants include a pink satin drawstring to keep them firmly in place while you’re exercising. They totally stayed put while I was doing Wallballs and Box Jumps during a WOD. No plumber’s crack with these babies!

  1. My favorite way to exercise is in a class. Zumba, yoga, urban rebounding, spinning … I’ll do any of them and have a blast. But since I don’t have a gym membership at the moment, I’ve been walking and participating in an online bootcamp.

  2. my favorite way to exercise is mixing it up! running, HIIT drills, swimming, cycling, weight lifting, kickboxing, yoga – i like to do anything and everything to keep from getting bored and keep my body guessing!

  3. I’ve always been good about doing my strength training, but just recently I’ve been trying to turn myself into a runner. I have a couple of 5Ks coming up, and I’m planning on a 10K in May. My mom has been doing half-marathons for the past year or so, and has already convinced me to run the Disney Half in January!

  4. I love yoga & reading about your Crossfit experiences is totally motivating! I would love to try crossfit in these new capris!

  5. MY FAVORITE EXERCISE IS YOGA! I LOVE HOW EVERYTIME I AM ABLE TO CHALLENGE MYSELF WITH NEW POSES. I ACUTALLY GOT BIRDS OF PARADISE THIS MORNING IS CLASS I WAS SO PROUD.
