Lunch did not hold me over at all today! šæ What’s up with that?! I thought I packed a well-rounded, nutritious lunch, but just a few hours after eating it, my stomach was growling like crazy. I was so hungry, I actually tweeted this message below:
Anyone else know the feeling? I felt like I could have easily eaten my entire kitchen. On my drive home, I even started thinking about what I would make when I walked in the door. It was a toss-up between a peanut butter + banana sandwich on whole wheat or an egg white + buffalo sauce sandwich in a pita. I wanted a mini meal instead of just a snack! The egg sandwich ended up winning in the end. I also added some shredded cheddar cheese to it.
I feel so much better now that I ate something. I was getting a bit cranky!
Lunch
So, this is the lunch that didn’t hold me over today. I still have no idea why?
I started with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole wheat bread.
And then I had some cucumber slices and carrots sticks.
And then I ate an apple and a Siggi’s yogurt.
It should have been a filling lunch, right? š
Oh, well. Somedays, I guess I’m just really hungry!

Cookie Friday
Somehow, Cookie Friday has gone by the wayside. How sad is that?! In honor of Cookie Friday tomorrow, I’ve decided to bring it back and add a fun weekly feature to the blog. So, if you’ve thoroughly enjoyed a Cookie Friday of your own, snap a photo of your treat and send it to me. Be sure to include a description, where you bought it or how you made it, and, of course, a photo. I’ll post them on CNC on Fridays for inspiration! š

Tonight, I’m attending Boston’s Taste of the Nation event with Mal. It sounds like it will be an amazing event for a great cause (all proceeds go to helping end childhood hunger in America). These Taste of the Nation events happen all over the country, so there might be one in your area. I’m really looking forward to it! Recap to come later tonight!
See ya! š
