Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee Day

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Exciting news (for the iced coffee lovers)!

Tomorrow is $1 Iced Coffee Day at Dunkin Donuts! Woohoo! It’s also Mal’s 30th birthday, so he’s convinced that Dunkin Donuts planned this special event just for him. I’m sure he’ll stop by a couple of times tomorrow to celebrate. He loves his iced coffee– even more than me!

I’m not sure about the Dunkin’ Donuts around the country, but the participating locations in Massachusetts will offer medium iced coffees for only $1, and $0.50 of each purchase will benefit the Hasbro Children’s Hospital through the Dunkin Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation. Iced coffee for a good cause? Sounds great to me! Be sure to mark your calendar!

My stomach started to grumble around 11:00 today, so I almost grabbed a snack, but then I realized it had been 4 hours since I last ate. A snack probably would have held off my hunger for another hour or so, but I decided to eat an early lunch instead. Sometimes, I just know a snack won’t do the trick.

Today’s lunch was a big salad topped with a hardboiled egg, a Dr. Praeger’s veggie burger, truffle oil, and balsamic vinegar.

I still wanted a little something after I finished eating my salad, so I ate a Kashi Trail Mix bar.

What time do you usually eat lunch? Do you plan your meals around certain times of the day or do you just eat when you’re hungry?

I spent the afternoon glued my office chair once again, but I took a break around 3:00 PM for a pre-CrossFit snack. I loved yesterday’s snack so much, I ate it again today with some whole almonds added to the mix. So delish.

Taking the pug for a walk and then off to CrossFit!

  1. I miss Dunkin’ Donuts coffee SO MUCH here in Australia. I really enjoy the flavor of it, and would love to have some here in Brisbane. I can’t wait to find really good iced coffee here, but it’s usually sweetened and with ice-cream, not just plain coffee over ice. Yuck.

  2. I such a planner I eat at set times, breakfast at 7am, am snack 10:30am, lunch around 12:30pm, afternoon snack 3:30-4pm and supper about 7:30pm, unless we aren’t working out after work then supper might be 6:30pm. This is only during the week, weekends aren’t really planned much.

  3. For me breakfast is between 7 and 7:30, after my 2 hour morning workout I have a protein smoothie (I love your pumkin pie one) then around 12:30 I have lunch, a snack a few hours later and dinner is between 6 and 7 and I don’t eat anything after 7 unless it’s my cheat day which I am usually having alochol so I will probably have a veggie burrito (that is what I crave when I drink)

  4. Do those Dr. Praeger’s burgers taste like egg rolls to you! I LOVE them for that.

I am 100% a type A personality so planning anything and everything is my game 🙂 I totally plan my meals. It makes feel in control of my day and my diet. I always eat lunch between noon and 1 on normal days and dinner is always at either 8 or 9. 8 if we go out, 9 if I’m cooking at home. I just have so much on my plate and eating is strangely the LAST thing on my mind when I get home from work. I need to run errands, wind down, get ready for the next day, and then in like to think about dinner and wine. I hate rushing and eating just to eat so in prefer waiting until I am ready to TRULY enjoy my food. I eat dinner super late but it is always healthy and I am able to 100% enjoy every bite!

  5. Awesome tip of D&D Iced Coffee Day! I just posted that my official conversion to Iced Coffee began this morning. It’s like they knew! 😉

  6. I’m hitting Dunks up for sure tomorrow! Love that it supports a cause too!

I’m trying to learn how to listen to my body more and only eat when I’m hungry rather than what time it is on the clock. It’s hard on the days that I work since we have a set lunch time and usually I’m starving by then.

  7. I’m definitely trying to be better about just eating a meal when I’m hungry even if its not a typical ‘meal time’. On the other end of the spectrum, sometimes its hard not to eat a typical meal time even if I’m not hungry!

Btw, I wish we had a dunkin’ donuts near me!

  8. Lunch is always tricky for me because my team at work eats at noon. On the dot. I’m not usually hungry by then because I’ve had breakfast around 8 and a snack around 10:30 or 11. I always try to work on the portion size in that case, because I don’t want to be unsocial, but it’s been a challenge.

  9. I’ve found that my hunger is like clockwork! I swear I am hungry at the same time everyday. But if I have already had my mid-morning snack and it is not quite lunch time, I will try to hold off until at least noon to eat. Sometimes I think I should just forget it and eat when I am hungry, but then I just end up snacking the afternoon away and never get satisfied until dinner

    1. I didn’t know there were D&Ds in China. That’s cool! The best D&D iced coffee is here in MA where it started! 🙂

  10. during the school year, I have to eat at 11:30 every day because that’s my designated lunch hour (it’s structured being a teacher). During the weekends and summer, I just eat when I get hungry. Sometimes it’s 11, sometimes it’s 1 or 2. Just depends!

  11. I grew up with Dunkin Donuts in NYC like 35 years ago. I loved their plain donuts back then. Unfortunately they are off limits now. I also love Dr. Praegers veggie burgers. I wish more of their selection was gluten free but I think only the sweet potato variety is. They are yummy!

  12. We used to have a ton of Dunkin Donuts around me, but now there’s only 1 40 miles away… I remember going on Saturdays when I was a kid to pick up our dozen donuts for the weekend 😉

  13. I have to plan my meals, as I am a dance teacher~ I need large amounts of energy to keep me fueled all day for stretches, jumps, plies and tap steps:) I normally eat breakfast around 0630 or 7, lunch I have around 11 or 12…if I’m ravenous in between (and I normally am) I have almonds, greek yogurt/banana to hold me over. Then I teach again in the evening, so I fit a snack or dinner in around 4 before class. I hate waiting till after class (around 8 or 9) because then I’m soooo hungry I could eat the whole cabinet. It’s hard to balance, but I love my job!!

  14. Bummer! The $1 iced are only in Rhode Island and Bristol County Massachusetts – I went into my Boston DnD and they didn’t know what I was talking about! :O) Lucky you guys though!

  15. I pretty much have an eating schedule. I eat around 5:30 before work – usually a bowl of cereal with almond milk, then a snack around 9 (oatmeal or a plain rice cake with natural pb and apple, and then lunch at Noon, then snack around 2:30-3, but that depends….sometimes if lunch is not hearty enough I am hungry really early :(, then dinner is around 7-8pm, so usually there is another snack before dinner.

  16. I typically eat lunch around noon (which is usually when my stomach starts growling), but since I have such a crazy work schedule – sometimes I have to eat lunch at 10:30am or 2pm just to fit it in! On days when I eat lunch early, it always reminds me of HS when I used to have the first lunch, at 10:30am! It just always seemed silly to me to eat lunch that early EVERY day!

  17. I have lunch at 12 every day, just due to my work schedule, but I have been hungry way earlier lately which is why I always have a morning snack. Sometimes I feel like I am most hungry in the morning…maybe because thats when I work out?
I cant believe i have never had an iced coffee…today sounds like it would be the day to try one!

  18. Breakfast – 10 am (always either oatmeal with 1 tbsp PB and sliced banana, or 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, sliced apple, and 1/2 cup dry cereal)
Lunch – 2 pm (I usually only change it up between 2 or 3 options)
Snack – 4 pm (rice cake or apple with 1 tbsp PB)
Dinner – 7:30 pm (always different)
Is it okay to eat meals and snacks at the same time every day? Sometimes I feel like my body is just so used to what I eat and the times I eat that nothing really changes, can’t lose weight (or gain either so maybe that’s a good thing)? I don’t know if I should be mixing things up more to see results.

  19. I LOVE DD, but we are stationed in La , right now, and there is not one any where near us 🙁
But, we do have a SB and a McDonalds if i feel the need to get icedcoffee out. Usually i will just mske it at home.
Thanks for the picture, to bad it’s not scratch and sniff of drink
