Last night’s dinner was”¦ wait for it”¦ legendary. We had 17 people for dinner! That’s a lot of food!
Mal and I were invited to spend the weekend at Ashley’s aunt’s house in Vermont. Ashley also invited a bunch of her friends from New York City and a few blog friends, including Theodora, Leslie, Melissa, and Meghann, to ski, snowboard, eat, drink, and be merry.
Mal and I (and Murphy) arrived just before dinner was about to be served. Good timing, huh? 😉
Dinner preparations: Cutting garlic bread for Ashley. Drinking Bourbon County for me.
On the menu:
Homemade garlic bread.
Farfalle with a Creamy Mushroom Sauce <— I lovveeeed this dish!
Roasted veggies.
And Ceasar salad, Pasta Primavera with shrimp, and Baked Ziti with sausage.
After dinner, it was time for dessert: birthday cake for Theodora!
Happy birthday, Theodora!!!
Frosting!!!
The night concluded with games and laughing hysterically about such things as “chicken boobs,” “hot meat for three,” and “happiness is like a bowl of eggs.”
Good times.

That house is AMAZING. It looks like so much fun, and I definitely want to recreate my own version of that mushroom farfalle dish. Love it!

What a fantastic party house! And so awesome that Murphey was allowed to be included in all the festivities!
Love some homemade garlic bread! I like it so garlicky that my mouth burns and my fiance refuses to kiss me for days.
“Chicken boobs” reminds me of an ex-boyfriend (who, coincidentally, was a total psycho) who called chicke breast, “chicken boobies.” It made me laugh, even though he made me run away. haha.
That looks like such a good time and Murphy looks like he enjoyed himself too 🙂

Wow that looks like good food (especially the garlic bread). At first I thought you made a sit-down dinner for 17. I was going to say holy cow that’s a lot of pressure! The most I’ve cooked for as a sit-down dinner was 7. That was hard.
i love that mushroom pasta! Me and my flatmates make it all the time!
