For some reason, Mal and I were exhausted last night, so we ate dinner, watched a movie, and then climbed into bed around 8:30 PM. We read and talked for a little while, but I guess it was just one of those nights.
Dinner
We fired up the grill for dinner last night. On the menu: grilled turkey burgers and salads. Simple yet delicious.
For dessert, I whipped up a batch of Banana Soft Serve with shredded coconut mixed in. Love.
After I finished eating, I got comfy on the couch with my favorite guys. We watched Contraband with Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale. It was just okay. I lost interest about halfway through and read blogs instead. A duck flew into Monica’s head when she was running (!!!) and Skinny Runner wrote this post with the best blogging tips in the world.
Breakfast
This morning, I woke up starving, which is why my (two-ingredient) pancake looks totally ridiculous with that massive blob of sunflower butter on it. Haha! I also drank a glass of iced Choffy with almond milk.

Question of the Day
This one is a two-part question:
What’s your favorite dinner?
What’s your favorite movie?
Mine: Margherita pizza with a pumpkin beer (*sigh*) and Pretty Woman.

Let’s see favorite dinner has to be Portobello Pizza. We stuff portobello mushrooms with pizza ingredients for an awesome Paleo pizza crust. Favorite movie is a tough one, but I think I have to go with The Bourne Identity ( I love me some Matt Damon! ).
P.S. I absolutely love banana soft serve too. We make it all the time with a little bit of almond milk, vanilla, and chocolate chips mixed in. DELISH.
That pizza idea sounds amazing. Do you happen to have a recipe/how do you cook it?

Ive used that one … and also biggest loser cookbook had this idea in it too!
Thank you! š
@Tina: Yeah definitely! The recipe is on my blog here: http://paleokitchensync.com/2012/05/27/pizza-stuffed-mushrooms/. If you’re doing the no dairy thing just leave off the cheese. š
why have you not been adding the pb to your 3 ingredient pancake anymore? i’m sure it tastes fantastic without though!
I cut it out over the weekend when things started to get really bad with my colon. I figured fewer ingredients, the better. The pancake turned out so well, I just keep making it!
ha! Oh Murphy! I could eat sushi every day!
Pride and prejudice is my favorite movie! Lol I’ve probably watched it 30 times, half with the commentary!
@Katie @ Peace Love & Oats: Pride and Prejudice is so good!
i have so many favorite dinners and movies!! so hard to decide… but i always am game for some pizza, pasta, or one of my dad’s burgers.
My dog lays like that too when I rub her belly, haha! My favorite movie is Forrest Gump or Walk the Line, and my favorite dinner is roast beef with corn on the cobb and mashed potatoes. I only have it about twice a year though (sigh).
thanks for the shoutout homie.
btw can i have your old toilet and sink, theyre so gorgeous. š
I just tried the 2 ingredient pancake and loved it! Thanks so much! As a gluten intolerant girl, I appreciate it so much. I topped mine with PB and added some cinnamon and such. I was wondering though if you have ever added protein to your pancakes?
Yep! Here are a bunch of recipes: http://carrotsncake.com/2011/12/protein-pancake.html & http://carrotsncake.com/2012/06/paleo-recipes-breakfast-lunch-dinner.html
Favorite movie: Titanic. I love that movie! š
My favorite dinner usually involves sweet potato fries and eggs. Hey, I’m easy to please. š I can’t possibly choose my favorite movie, but I do love As Good As It Gets. Jack Nicholson is my favorite!
Dinner: Salad Nicoise with Alaskan Salmon
Favorite Movie: Dangerous Liaisons, John Malkovich is perfectly evil!
Homemade mediterranean pizza or my mom’s veggie tacos. Sparkling water + juice and Juno. š
What do you think about the iced choffy vs iced coffee? texture/flavor/convenience-wise? i’d be interested to hear your thoughts!
It’s good, but it’s no iced coffee! It’s quite a bit weaker (but maybe I didn’t brew it strong enough?) and the flavor is bitter chocolate.
My fav dinner is chicken wings, pizza and beer in southern ontario… it’s just not the same in Ottawa.
Fav movie is When Harry Met Sally
Dinner would be a Japanese smorgasbord (if that’s not a contradiction in cuisine terms).
Movie: Thelma & Louise / All About Eve.
My favorite dinner is pretty much anything middle eastern (shocker there). I practically live off of hummus!
My favorite movie is The Godfather! I am a sucker for mob movies.
Favorite dinner: My mom’s chili OR Quinoa turkey chili from Taste of Home. They’re both good.
Favorite Movie: Charade or either Break Up. But really, I have a million favorite movies.
Hmmmm dinner and a movie… I love The Royal Tennenbaums and The Life Aquatic. Dinner? I am an equal opportunity eater!
My all-time favorite dinner would have to be steak, potatoes, and a green veggie of some kind. Although I’m very partial to pizza margherita myself! As far as movies go it’s really hard to pick a favorite, so many that I like, but a recent one that surprised me was Man on a Ledge – title was so dumb that I thought it would be bad, but my husband and I both loved it. Waaayyyy better than Contraband…
Favourite dinner would have to be a big, juicy burger with the works (including egg and beetroot), with a large glass of Skinnygirl margarita.
Movie? Mean Girls! I am obsessed. I even had a Mean Girls board on my Pinterest š
