Mal has another snow day from school! Hooray!! But, it’s a cruel… cruel… cruel winter out there!
Thankfully, I have these two guys to dig me out:
Great work! Keep it up!
Somehow, I’ve gotten away with only shoveling once this entire winter. (I actually think Mal sort of likes doing it.)
Breakfast
For breakfast, I made a recipe that I’ve been meaning to try for awhile now: Mozzarella, Raspberry and Brown Sugar Panini. I love recipes that combine sweet and savory ingredients like this one.
I have no idea how Giada came up with it, but I am impressed.
Amazing. Maybe I will eat another one for lunch?
I also drank a glass of iced coffee with breakfast.
See, I have a good sense of humor about all of this snow! š
Oh, I signed up for another race:Ā Black Cat 10 Miler.Ā I know I saidĀ that IĀ wouldn’t sign up for anymore, but I have a good reason: MonicaĀ and Chandra are coming to Boston to run it too! How could I not sign up for it!?!
Question of the Day
What’s your favorite thing to do on a snow day?
P.S. I’m giving away some nuts over on Trading Up Downtown!

I can’t wait to come visit!! š
Oh my goodness, that is so much snow! Hope you are staying warm!
Hey that’s cool about the snow day… ‘cept for all the snow! š
Oh well, maybe you guys can get out there and enjoy it… or stay bundled up, inside warm?! LOL
Enjoy your day!
I would love to try shoveling snow… I bet it’s an amazing workout!! š
Great winter shots! My favorite thing to do on a snow day is have a fire š
Snow shoe! And then go to b. good. burgers. At least the mall parking lot is clear.
I thought our snow was bad! As much as I enjoy the winter scene, that looks wicked bad. Mal is so awesome to shovel you out!
I am guilty of loving watching all the news hype about the snow. I really love the reporters at the grocery stores making sure that people are buying up milk, bread and all-important toilet paper, the guy with the yard stick measuring how much snow there is and I especially love knowing that I’m inside, warm and dry and I’m not outside!
oh my – yes that is dreary indeed! I wont tell you that it is 30+C here then š
This Ohio girl relocated to sunny, warm Southern California a year and a half ago, so no more snow days for me. But when I did have them, my favorite way to spend them was curling up on the couch in sweatpants, a cup of coffee and watching chick flicks. : )
Oh my gosh, the pictures are awesome! And breakfast sounds delicious!! Is there any chance you’ll be posting the recipe??
Just click on the link! š
I am so sick of this snow! My boyfriend and I spent over 3 hours shoveling to try and get ourselves out of the house. It’s brutal! Breakfast looks delicious!
It’s so bizarre seeing/reading this when here in Australia, it was too hot to even sleep last night! Love that we can eat the same panini regardless of weather, though š
dude that panini sounds AMAZING. thanks for the recipe!!
favorite snow day activity?? make a cup of chai and read a fantast book
Wow, I can’t believe you guys have more snow down there than we do in Ontario! Something weird is going on with the weather this winter…
i am doing that race too! the 10 miler…to prep for my first half-marathon!
I am a teacher…had a snow day last week…and I love to bake!
Favorite thing to do on snow day::::drink beer!
I know I only say this because I am not currently in it, but all your pictures of snow really make me miss all the white fluff. š
My favorite thing to do on a snow day is play board games and drink wine – despite the time of the day.
we like to go sledding with our huskies. we just started training them to pull a sled so they don’t last too long yet (and uh neither do we) but it’s so much fun for that 30 minutes. I figured we have huskies with too much energy and snow, so we have to make the best of it, right? You guys are getting way more snow than us though. That crosses the line from fun > a pain in the butt.
I don’t want to run this race but I’d love to partake in pre-race fueling or post running activities š
Seriously, I live in the snow belt of the United States, right on lake Erie near Buffalo. I must admit, that’s like one of our snow storms! Sad part is that snow honestly will be in HUGE piles still when it’s balmy out. We have warm spring days in shorts and piles in parking lots that are like mountains still trying to melt! LOL
We’re used to it here but for you guys this must really be quite a whopper! My cousin used to live in MA and I recall him saying you guys got very little snow. Keep warm!
SNOWMOBILING! I rode 70 miles on my sled today in Vermont. It was fantastic. I love the snow up here, not so much in the city.
