Meeghan’s Cheese Party

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

Happy (belated) birthday to my cousin, Meeghan!! She turned 32 earlier this month, so we celebrated the best way we know how: with cheese!

The traffic leaving Boston after the NASM workshop was pretty awful, so I ended up arriving a little bit late to Meeghan’s party, but, thankfully, no one seemed to mind as cocktails hour was in full swing!

I enjoyed a glass of wine and some appetizers with everyone, and then it was time to sit down to dinner. Raclette was on the menu!

The Raclette cheese was served with roasted potatoes, broccolini, croissants, and steak. Clearly, this was a low-calorie meal, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

My plate minus three or four trays full of melted Raclette:

After dinner, we celebrated Meeghan’s birthday with a fun and fancy tower of mini desserts.

She was psyched!

Obviously, I went right for the carrot cake.

The cousins: me, my sister, Meeghan, and Heidi.

When the four of us get together, we always have such a blast. We spent most of last night reminiscing about old times, which, of course, led to lots and lots of laughter (to the point of almost peeing our pants). Good times.

  1. That first picture is awesome! She looks like a little kid on Christmas morning. πŸ™‚

Love the idea to have a bunch of mini desserts. More to sample!

    Happy birthday, Meeghan!

  2. I LOVE Raclette….SO good on red potatoes and all sorts of veggies. It’s almost better than chocolate fondue. The Swiss have come up with so many good things.

  3. I linked back to your other post about racletts and thought the whole milk thing was hilarious. When I was living in Switzerland, my host family wouldn’t let me drink regular water with raclett or fondue for the same reasons. Hahahaha. I always had to drink sparkling water with those meals and I hated it. Now 17 years later I’m obsessed with sparkling water and have it with every meal. Anyway, nothing like a good cheese meal πŸ™‚
