Holy cookies! Today was a million times better than Cookie Friday! I must say, Shannon’s Cookie Swap was quite the success! š I definitely left her apartment with a belly FULL of delicious cookie goodness!
In addition to the plethora of cookies, Shannon provided her guests with some savory snacks to munch on. I tried at least a bite of everything.
Shannon served smoked salmon mousse + crackers + cucumbers.
Chips + salsa + guacamole.
Mini quiches made with pear and gorgonzola. Mmm!
Coconut-chia almonds. Heavenly!
And bacon-flavored potato chips.
The bloggers mingled before the main event.
The cookie selection was out of control! There were so many delicious options. Not surprisingly, I ate one too many cookies, but isn’t that the point of a cookie swap? š I had wanted to try one of each cookie, but after eating 5 or 6, my stomach was just too full. I took at least one of each cookie home with me, so I’m sure I’ll get to taste them all within a day or two! š
Check out this wonderful spread of goodies at the Cookie Swap!
My Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Bars
Bridget’s Chocolate Almond Orange Macaroons
Shannon’s Maple Bacon Toffee Oatmeal Cookies
Bacon?!? Yep, bacon. The flavor was very subtle and it nicely complimented the maple and toffee.
Adrienne’s Lime Meltaways
Elina’s Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
My coworker Melissa highly recommended these cookies to me around the holidays, so I was psyched to see that Elina made them for the Cookie Swap. They basically tasted like rich espresso brownies. Delish!
Kelly’s Cookie Dough Truffles
I’m dying to try one of these! I’ll probably enjoy one tonight after dinner. š
Nicole’s Lemon Almond Cranberry Crescents
Kerstin’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
These bars were no joke. In addition to lots of peanut butter and chocolate, the inside included pretzel pieces and chunks of Whoppers!
Rebecca’s Break-Up Bars
These were easily a favorite! Holy yum!
Mary Kate’s Black & White Cookies
Black & White cookies are one of my favorites. Mary Kate’s were SO GOOD!
I <3 cookies! The Cookie Monster was in heaven!
Of course, us bloggers needed to snap some photos!
And then the swapping began!
Check out the loot that I took home with me!
Even Murphy got some goodies!
Shannon baked him some doggie treats. Thanks, Shannon!
Thanks, Shannon, for a wonderful afternoon! I really enjoyed my first Cookie Swap!
I’m not sure that I want to eat dinner after all of those cookies, but maybe some “real food” will help get me out of my sugar coma. š
(Wow, there were a lot of exclamation points in this post. I guess I really do get excited about cookies! š )
