CNC Meal Plan: Week of January 13 (Frozen Food Week)

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Welcome to Frozen Food Week on CNC!!

I’m always looking for ways to save money at the grocery store, so I decided to challenge myself by using more frozen foods (which tend to be cheaper than the perishable stuff) in our meals this week. I purchased some bagged frozen vegetables and plan to use up some of the food we already have in our freezer. I still bought some non-frozen ingredients at the grocery store for a few of our meals, but, hopefully, the frigid fare will give you some quick and easy ideas for your own dinners. (I’ve bolded the frozen ingredients for each of the meals below.)

Questions of the Day

How often do you use frozen foods in your cooking? What are your favorite frozen food recipes and products to buy?

  1. Can you buy organic meat at your regular grocery store? I have to go to whole foods for that for the most part.

    1. @Amanda: My regular grocery store doesn’t carry organic meat, so I go to Whole Foods or Fresh Market. We also have a frozen supply of grass-fed beef in our freezer.
