I can’t believe what an exciting (almost) 6 months it’s been since I first launched Carrots ‘N’ Cake Macro Plan & Coaching! To date, we’ve had almost 200 clients (not including weekly macro plan subscribers)! Crazy, right?! I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with so many members of this community to help them step up their nutrition game and feel their best. Macros don’t have to be a strict way to live – instead, they can be a helpful learning tool to find a better way of eating to fuel your lifestyle.
The best part launching this new part of my business is supporting clients on how to navigate all those tricky food challenges that often pop up in our days (i.e. weekends, parties, vacations). Having an objective support system can often be that extra tool needed to stop feeling frustrated and start feeling empowered to rock your goals!
That said, I wanted to share some of the amazing client success stories to inspire you and give you a little insight into what CNC Macro Plans & Coaching is all about. I also want to take a minute to send a huge CONGRATS to each of these beautiful ladies, who put in the time and dedication to take care of themselves and their health!
The client below worked with me for just 4 weeks in September. She took what she learned about macros and implemented it into her everyday life. Since then, she’s lost a total of 30 pounds and 3 pants sizes! Macros don’t work overnight, but they WORK! ⠀
“Despite working hard in the gym, my nutrition was seriously hindering progress and had me feeling (and looking) not so great. I always felt as though I knew “what to do,” but having a plan and some accountability was just what I needed to get going. The weekly check-in’s and the ability to ask questions as they came up really helped to optimize the program and set me up for success. This program has really transformed my way of eating and allowed me to have increased energy to preform better in my training as well as keep up with my two young daughters. Dedication and hard work certainly paid off on and off the scale for this amazing client. Throughout her plan, she dropped 15 pounds (in 8 weeks) while building confidence in her ability to maintain her results. She writes: “These pants were snug last year when I put them on, and I had to wear a baggy shirt to hide the fat rolling over. Now they are too big! I’m the lightest I’ve been in years. I’ve also been able to bring out a lot of my Lulu tops that were literally skin tight on me last year. I feel great! And people are finally starting to notice the hard work I’ve been putting in. My new goal is to get down to 145! This seemed impossible when I first started back in April, but now it is attainable. I’m hoping to do another plan after Thanksgiving with you!”

I’m still enjoying beer and alcohol in moderation, and if we go out to eat or for ice cream, I plan it into my day, or if it’s spontaneous, then I just move on and start over the next day. Macros have been so great for living a balanced lifestyle!”
This client is a perfect example of why the scale certainly does NOT tell the whole story. The scale only showed a 2-pound difference, but she achieved some amazing body composition changes via her progress photos! The scale is JUST a number, but if you feel great, your clothes fit better, and you see visual progress, then who cares what the scale says!
Yet another shining example of why sometimes you just have to toss the scale out the window! This performance athlete was seeking optimal fueling for her sport while hoping to see some body composition changes as well. The scale only fluctuated a few pounds over her 8-week plan, yet her body composition certainly shifted. Not to mention she felt much better and learned how to better balance her meals to fuel and recover from her workouts. She writes: “Thanks again for all of your help! I definitely learned a lot about my body throughout this process and found some things I had really been doing really ‘wrong’ in the past. Before doing this, I was feeling really frustrated and didn’t trust my body. But now I think we have a much better relationship, and I know what it needs to perform and recover correctly!
My favorite success stories are ones where the client learns some new healthy habits via macro tracking and still lives their life to the fullest! This great client worked hard to use the macro framework as a foundation for her nutrition, but she didn’t let her numbers slow her down. She’s a great example of how macro tracking doesn’t need to be perfect to find a balance that works for you and your lifestyle. She writes: “Just a little scale update! I’m down 2 more pounds and lost another inch on my waist and hips. I also took some updated progress pics. I’ve splurged more on weekends, but the framework is there and definitely helping me make decisions! Excited to see what the next 6+ weeks bring!”
