LOOK what I found at Barnes & Noble last night!!!
Holy crap! My book is on shelves! Apparently, it was released early!?!
I thought maybe the folks that preordered my book received them before the May 3rd release date, but my book is popping up at stores all over the place, including Anchorage, AK, Concord, MA, and Arlington, VA. So cool!
My publisher has a relationship with Barnes & Noble, so you can find my bookΒ on shelves inΒ the Health section, but you can also order it online.
Last Night’s Dinner
Last night, Mal and I planned to break out the grill to cook hamburgers on our back deck, but, by the time he brought the grill up from the basement and cleaned it, it was raining pretty hard. Boo. So, we cooked them inside on the stove top.
I had my burger on a toasted Everything Bagel Thin with cheddar cheese, relish, and a pickle. On the side: kale chips!
For dessert, Mal and I shared a caramel apple that the Easter Bunny gave me.
We murdered it.
Breakfast
This morning’s breakfast was fresh fruit with a leftover blueberry muffin from Easter brunch with peanut butter spread on top. A little while later, I enjoyed an iced coffee with soy milk.
RunChat
Last night, I participated in my first ever Twitter chat– about running!
On the second and fourth Sunday of each month, #runchat is co-moderated by Scott from iRunnerBlog and David from RunningBecauseICan. Anyone (with a Twitter account) can participate and all things running-related are discussed. If you want to learn more, check out the FAQs about #runchat.
So, I absolutely loved #runchat!! As you know, I love talking about running and learning from other runners, so #runchat was a great way to do it. The hour totally flew by for me! I could have chatted all night!
Question of the Day

I found my book at Barnes & Noble last Thursday, but the book I preordered to give to my BF’s mom hasn’t arrived yet! Weird, right? In any case, I loved it! I thought it was very approachable and fun. And I can definitely relate to the sweet tooth struggles you mentioned. I’m leaving my copy with my dad so he can pass it around to the ladies in his office!

SO EXCITING! Seeing your book on the shelf must be the greatest feeling ever. Congrats!
Wow! That is so exciting! One topic I can talk about for hours is food.
I can talk for EVER about recipes, cooking, restaurants – basically if it has to do with food, I’m in. It’s an almost unhealthy obsession (except nowadays trying to make it a healthier one…).
Pugs and all things pug related, recipes for good food and ways to make good food healthier, decorating a house and working out. Yep, that about covers it!
Congratulations! That must have been so fun and excited to see it on a shelf!
I could talk about most of my favorite television shows for hours and hours and never get bored. I could also talk about ancient Latin and Greek for hours and hours and especially the time during the Roman Empire’s foundation but I have a feeling the people I’m talking to would get bored.
SO cool about your book! I will have to get to BN and look for it! I could talk about barre fitness classes all day — and I do.
Congrats on the book. How special it must be to see it in the book stores live!
Congratulations! It must be such a great feeling to see your book in B&N!

I keep reading about kale chips on various blogs, and I really need to try them! I’m going to print your instructions…thank you!
Congrats! I just got my copy at B&N. It wasn’t out so they went and got it from the back and I watched the guy put a stack of them onto the new arrivals table. π I jogged up to the bookstore and read a little while eating a mini cupcake from the bakery next door. Your book was the perfect fit for my day’s activities haha.
That’s so cool about your book! Congrats!
I could talk for hours about music and lyrics and meaning. Love that stuff.
I got the book and finished it in less than 24 hours!!! I loved all of your personal touches, recipes and tips. Awesome job π
Yay for your book hitting the shelves! I can’t imagine the feeling of seeing your own work sitting among a whole host of books. Exciting!
I could honestly talk about nutrition and celebrity gossip all day long! LOL!
That would be SO SURREAL!! Ahhh awesome! I’m happy for you π
