Rise and shine! 
I have a full day ahead, which includes Body Pump, lots of errands around town, and packing. Lots and lots of packing. We’re moving 2 weeks from tomorrow! šÆ I cannot believe we’re moving again, but, at least this time, I know we’ll be staying for awhile.
Breakfast
This morning’s breakfast was inspired by another one of Mama Pea’s pumpkin creations. The other day, she whipped a delicious-lookingĀ Pumpkin Pie Shake, so I attempted my own version with ingredients in my refrigerator this morning.
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup frozen canned pumpkin
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1.25 cups soy milk
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
- Enjoy with a stainless steel straw! š
I also threw in a packet of chocolate-flavored Amazing Grass. My cold is just about gone, so I want to nip in the bud. I have no idea if this stuff really works, but I figured it couldn’t hurt.

Does the word ‘doppelganger’ remind anyone else of How I Met Your Mother? I had never even heard the word until I watched the show and now I use it all of the time! š
So, I was catching up my celebrity gossip in US Weekly the other day and stumbled upon a very familiar looking pug.
Brad and Angelina’s “Furry Sidekick” looks a lot like Murphy.
You might think that all pugs look alike, but they do not. Pugs come in all shapes and sizes. Some are cute and some are really ugly. Murphy is “unique” because he has really long, flying nun-like ears. (Most pugs don’t have such long ears.) Brad and Angelina’s pug has those same long ears and a very expressive Murphy-like face.
Do you see the pug dog resemblance? I think they were separated at birth,Ā just like Mal and Kirk! š
Over the years, people have told me that I have a fewĀ celebrity doppelgangers, including Kate Beckinsale, Neve Campbell, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Sometimes, I see the Kate Beckinsale resemblance, but not the other two. Actually, I don’t see it at all!
Doggy 5K
For the locals…
BostonDOG and the MSPCA-Angell have teamed up with RACE – Run Against Cancer Events to host the Doggy 5K, Boston’s first ever road race for humans and dogs! All event proceeds benefit the Angell Animal Medical Center’s Oncology service and BostonDOG’s Boston Common Dog Park Proposal.
The Doggy 5k is at 10am on Saturday, November 13th at South Boston’s Castle Island.Ā The race is open to humans running with or without dogs.

I can sort of see the Kate Beckinsale one. People tell me I look like Natalie Wood (from West Side Story). I don’t know if you did the whole doppleganger pic thing on fb last year (all my college friends seemed to be doing it) but I put a pic of her up and I had a ton of people comment and say they actually thought it was me. I was pretty happy about that! lol I also get Lea Michele sometimes.
I love that Murphy has a famous ‘brother’ / look alike!

It seems like at least 3 times a month, somebody stops me and tells me that i look exactly like Elisha Cuthbert… it’s actually kind of a scary resembelence. Oh, and if you want to see your husbans doppleganger– my friend Lester looks JUST like him, holy smokes. I tried to link some pics but photobucket is being a bitch… maybe some other time.
Everyone always tells me I look like Renee Zellwegger, but I don’t really see it that much. Recently, I get Erin from The Office, at least when my hair was reddish š

Funny experience for me: I was at a bar in college (aged 21 or so) and this guy was trying to “hit on me,” and he told me that I looked like Meryl Strep. MERYL STREEP is beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I was 21 and she was around 60? YEEAH, needless to say that guy didn’t get my number, but now that I think about it, it was a compliment…just not when you’re 21 years old. hee hee.
I was looking at Redbook the other day in the doctor’s waiting room and the cover had the mother of Gilmore Girls. I thought “wow that looks A LOT like Tina!”
I wish we were going to be home for the Doggie 5k! (Although I think I’d be carrying Clark for miles 2 and 3.) When I was in middle school, people said I looked like Nancy Kerrigan– I think this was during the Tonya Harding club to the knee saga. Weird, I know.
I definitely see the Neve Campbell but not the other 2:) I don’t think I’ve ever been told I look like a celebrity but people often say they have seem my twin in various places…spooky!
I got Neve Campbell ALL THE TIME when I was little and Party of 5 was on TV! Now I (occasionally) get Liv Tyler and Jennifer Garner.
WHen I was younger people told me I looked alot like Selma Blair. I also get told I look like Sarah Ramirez (from Grey’s Anatomy).

Apparently I look like Larisa Oleynik. She’s the girl from the Secret World of Alex Mack from the 90’s. I don’t know if I see it, but over ten people have told me that.

I could never figure mine out and it drove me crazy! But then randomly one day this stranger told me who I look like and I think he was actually right. He dubbed me the doppeganger of Tina Majorino (Deb from Napoleon Daynamite).

I’ve been told Avril Lavigne (only for the hair, eyes, and fair skin!) and Milla Jovovich. I don’t really see the latter, except for a random photo or two of her. Honestly, I think my face mostly resembles that of Amy Lee.

Ok, how strange is this… I made pumpkin cookies today and had about 2/3 of a cup of pumpkin left that I froze (can’t just throw it out right?!). I was thinking, I’ll figure out SOMETHING to do with it. Low & behold I run into your blog today with the pumpkin smoothie… I will change it up to use the ingredients I have but you have inspired a copy cat recipe for sure!
Changes I’ll be making… I have cinnamon, maple sprinkles (from GFS) to replace most of the spices cuz I’ve yet to fill my spice shelf here when I moved. Instead of the vanilla or plain greek yogurt (which I almost always have but somehow ran out & didn’t replace) I’m using the Oikos caramel yogurt… um… can u say YUMMO.. pumpkin & caramel? Ya, thought so! LOL I’ll take pics & blog the recipe but will definitely connect it to YOURS because you have inspired me!
BTW… I’m not proud.. but my celeb “look alike” is… OH GAWWWD I cannot believe I’m putting this on the internet… Rosie O’Donnell.
