Mal and I ended our Mohegan getaway with a relaxing brunch at Todd English’s Tuscany. I’m so glad that we enjoyed a leisurely meal instead of grabbing food on the road. I wanted our vacation to last as long as possible!
Right away, I ordered a cup of coffee with cream. However, I wish my request hadn’t been so impulsive because I wasn’t really in the mood for coffee and barely drank any of it.
Maybe I needed some coffee! I look half asleep in this pic. (I’m also not wearing any make-up.) 😕
Mal gets cranky when he is hungry. His “evil” face cracked me up!
The brunch menu at Tuscany was impressive with its unique-sounding dishes and interesting flavor combinations. I had a difficult time making a decision!
I finally chose “The Perfect Cure” breakfast flatbread with prosciutto, asparagus, egg, and the most amazing fontina cheese. I’m not sure I’ve ever tasted Fontina, but now I am a huge fan!
The breakfast flatbread totally hit the spot, but I was little disappointment by the quality and quantity of the asparagus, which was overcooked and sparse. 😐
I ate half of the portion served to me and took the rest home for a late lunch.
So, this concludes my Mohegan weekend! I hope you enjoyed reading about it!

Looks like you guys had a great time!
looks good! But I always wondered why american portions are so huge!…Whenever I travel over the boarder I swear the portion sizes go up at least by half lol…(I guess the flatbread could be shared) but even other stuff! 🙂
Thanks for taking us on vacation! I had a great time!
When I used to eat meat, prosciutto was one of my very favorites. That flatbread makes me wish I still ate it (well, just for a second)!
Aw poor Mal. I get the same way when I’m hungry!
Tuscany looks gorgeous, I love the indoor waterfall.
What a great place and you look lovely in your pic!!
Love Todd English’s restaurants. He has one (or many, perhaps?) in DC.
HA I think I make that face too when I’m hungry:P I LOVE prosciutto!

You look beautiful with or without make up! Way to rock the au naturale look 🙂 I get cranky when I’m hungry too! I understand the face!!
You don’t need makeup! Sorry the asparagus wasn’t so great, but it still looks tasty!
