Brooks Stocking Stuffer Giveaway

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Hi, guys!

Remember my Stocking Stuffers for Runners post from last week? Well, my friends at Brooks offered to give away two of the items featured to a lucky CNC reader. Yayyyy! How awesome is that?! And then you’ll be totally ready for winter running!

These running accessories are two of my very favorites for cold weather running, and I never leave home without them. Really, they are my go-to pieces for running outside during the winter. Ok, without further ado, here’s what you can win…

Brooks Running Drift Glove – I love these gloves so much! They have multiple layers of warmth, including a windproof mitt cover for extra protection that can easily be tucked away if you don’t need it. They also have a tech-tipped thumb and index finger, so you can switch up your tunes or snap pictures of your snowy run without exposing your hands. They really are the best gloves, and I recommend them to everyone!

Brooks (Reversible) Running Unisex Greenlight Headband – I love this headband because it’s both an ear warmer and headband at the same time. It’s comfy, cute, and stays put, which is a winning combination in my book. It’s also moisture-wicking and reversible with a smooth side and a brushed side that adds extra warmth. Love it.

Here’s how to enter: Just leave a comment on this post about one of your running goals for 2016. I will randomly pick a winner tomorrow to win both the gloves and headband.

Good luck!

  1. I’d really like to get back into running half marathons so just registered for the Grand Teton Half in June. Hoping my body cooperates so that I can stay injury-free during training!

  2. My running goal is to be able to run for longer than a few weeks at a time without getting injured and needing to then be out for weeks. Whether it be a hamstring pull, achilles tendonitis, hip tendonitis, etc.. no matter how much I stretch, it doesn’t matter – non stop problems for years, but I keep trying.

  3. Hi! My running goal for 2016 is to complete a marathon, now that I have done 3 Half marathons this fall, I’m ready to be totally crazy instead of just half crazy 😀 I never thought in a million years I’d be so excited about running, but after hearing about you running Boston and one of my close friends qualifying and running Boston, I definitely have been inspired and got bit by the running bug! No regrets.
    P. S. Your blog is my favorite! It’s the first one I look forward to reading every morning.

  4. I used to run half marathons, but haven’t been into running lately. Which is ok with me! But I’d like to get in more jogs with my pup and short runs next year.

  5. This year I ran the NYC Marathon as a St Jude Hero- next year I’m looking to run as a Hero again! It was so worth it to run for such an amazing cause!

  6. I just got into running 6 months ago, and now I’m hooked. I’d want to work on my speed in 2016 so lots of 5K and 10Ks for me.

  7. My goals are to run more than 600 miles in 2016 and finally get below 2:30 for a half marathon. I also want to set mini-goals each month.

  8. My goal is to keep running. I often get discouraged if I have a bad run or I push myself too hard and end up injured. This year I will run because I love running and not worry about how far or fast I go 🙂

  9. I am planning on taking advantage of the crazy warm weather we are having in Pa. And work towards my goal of a half marathon in the fall!!

  10. I’d like to run another marathon in 2016! In fact, I’d like to do the “New England Double” in 2016 (Vermont City Marathon & Hartford Marathon)!

  11. I need to be more consistent with my running!! Had a pretty tough 2015 … Need to put myself “on the list” and run!!

  12. I had foot surgery this year, so my goal next year is to slowly start running again. I used to run marathons, so it’ll be a challenge to start all over again!

  13. My best friend and I are entering the lottery for the Chicago marathon — her first, my third! We have a few ‘back up’ marathons if we don’t get in, though! A part of our #aracein50states challenge!

  14. My running goal is to ramp up the training again and get back to racing. After moving the beginning of this year, I’ve gotten sick, battled 2 serious injuries and had to adjust to running in temps of -22F in winter and smokey, hazy skies in the summer. I need to overhaul my diet as well – food is fuel and right now, I’m not being kind to my body. Great giveaway!

  15. My running goal for the new year is to stick to my moring running time. I’m very much a first-thing-in-the-morning exerciser, but when it’s super dark and cold at 5am in the winter, my motivation leaves me. It’s not cold or dark on my treadmill though, so no excuses!

  16. Sort of a sad goal, but I just haven’t been able to make it past shin splints for the past 6 months! My goal is work on my shin strength and recovery so I can be a forever runner!

  17. In 2015, I was determined to make myself like running- I’ve hated it my whole life, but I knew it is an amazing exercise, and I longed to be one of those people that could confidently lace up my sneaks and just head outside.

Now, a year later, I’ve completed my first half marathon, and I’m completely in love with running. In 2016, my goal is to run two more half marathons in under two hours. There are also a couple 10 mile races that are very popular in my hometown that I plan to run.

  18. My goal is to ease back into running slowly and injury free! I had knee surgery in March, so am just trying to build my foundation back up!

  19. My goals this year are to coach my son’s school’s HERO boys run club & to stay uninjured. I’d also like to run a few more half marathons 🙂
