My favorite type of morning: Body Pump + Wheelhouse Diner. It’s really THE BESTΒ way to start the day! This morning,Β Mal and I joined our friends, Dave and Marie, for an early-morning Body Pump class, and then the 4 of us headed straight to the Wheelhouse Diner for breakfast.
At the Wheelhouse, I started with a big glass of iced coffee with cream and sugar. I was so thirsty after Body Pump, so it really hit the spot!
To eat, I ordered my usual breakfast: one egg over hard, homefries, and rye toast with butter. I almost always finish the entire portion, and for $2.95, it’s totally worth the price!
And the best part about this morning: we scored VIP parking right outside the Wheelhouse!
I’m having one of those days where my workout seriously stimulates my appetite, so now I am snacking on some Glutino Chocolate Covered Pretzels that the company sent me to sample. They’re very chocolaty!
This afternoon, Mal and I are running some errands and then we’re heading to a friend’s engagement party.
Enjoy your Saturday, blog friends! π

Body Pump is awesome. I need to get back in the habit of going!
Happy weekend to you!
$2.95!? You could NEVER get a proper meal that size for that price in England!!! I don’t blame you for getting them every Saturday π
glad your day is off to a good start – pretzels and chocolate don’t hurt!
I never had Rye toast. It looks really good. I love chocolate and pretzels. The sweet and salty flavors are the best.
Sounds like the perfect morning to me!
$2.95 for all that food!! Lucky you, it’s hard to find anything like that where I live!
Awesome morning! π Lovely breakfast… π
By the way, is the blue car your car in that picture…? Who’s that in the backseat?! Freaks me out a little.
Have an awesome Saturday! π

I went to Body Pump for the first time yesterday with a friend who brought me as a guest to her gym. I’m mostly a runner so this class kicked my butt! I’m SO sore today! Needless to say, I’m going to need to check into becoming a member of that gym π
my friend is celiac so she always had the gluten free pretzels–I think they taste ten time better than regular pretzels!
Chocolate covered pretzels are amazingly addicting. I cannot keep them in my house!
I can’t believe that breakfast is only $2.95! That’s very impressive!
I need to get in on that free gluten-free snack action. I really like Glutino’s pretzels (except they are very, very pricey). The pretzels are really airy and crisp. I’ve never had the chocolate-covered, but I’m sure that they are delish.
What a fun breakfast out! I love those types of Saturday mornings. π
Front row parking, body pump, chocolate….perfect! π
Happy Saturday Tina!
I discovered the “Diner type” of food when I moved to the states, and now I can’t get enough! It’s so cheap, and so good! And especially after a good workout!!
$2.95?!? That is cheap, cheap, cheap!
Yum! I need to give glutino a try. It sounds perfect for my sensitivity
$2.95?! That’s a great deal!
Body pump always made me hungry. I wish they had those classes out here in Chicago.
That’s a steal! There’s nothing like a diner breakfast…YUMMM! π
Have fun at the party!!
Hunni and I like fun weekly habits. I’m glad you enjoy your’s too.
Enjoy the party celebrating with your friends.
Those pretzels look delicious! I love diner breakfasts and how inexpensive, yet tasty, they are.
sounds like a great morning to me!
Wow I can’t believe how cheap that meal is! I love reasonable portions and prices π Have a fun Saturday!
I can’t believe you get all that food for $2.95! Little diners are my fav for just that reason!!!
Diner breakfasts are perfect after an early workout. I always feel better knowing my workout is complete first thing.
That breakfast looks tasty! (except for the egg) I’ve never had rye toast either but I’d definitely try it since I love toast and those choco pretzels…mmm! I didn’t know they made ones that are gluten free.
I love chocolate covered pretzels, I could eat the whole bag.
$2.95?!?! Are you kidding me? OMG. You Americans are so lucky! When I order eggs florentine at my local cafe, it costs $13. And plus, you have chocolate covered pretzels. Sigh.
