Ooh, boy, do I have a cool, new product to tell you guys about. I was recently sent a pair of BlueBud X Bluetooth Headphones to review and they are, simply put, awesome.
New gadgets typically hate me, so I was psyched that the BlueBuds were so easy to set up. I listen to Pandora on my iPhone when I workout or take Murphy for walks, so I was pleasantly surprised that connecting the BlueBuds to the Bluetooth on my phone was such a piece of cake. On my iPhone, all I had to do was turn on the Bluetooth (in Settings) and then press a button on the headphones to connect. A small light on each of the earbuds flashed to let me know that things were working properly and it was trying to connect. (The lights on the earbuds also let you know know whether they are powered on or off and whether they need charging.) It only took about 3 seconds before I heard David Guetta blaring in my ears. I was so excited that I got the headphone to work with only one try, I started to dance around the dining room like a total goober!
I took the BlueBuds out for a test run on Saturday afternoon and immediately fell in love with them. Running āwirelessāĀ and listening to Pandora play on my iPhone inside of my FlipBelt was wicked cool. I kept thinking to myself: āLook ma, no hands, er, wires!” as I ran along. Haha! And the sound playing in my ears was excellentāācrisp and clear, and the headphones didn’t cut out or disconnect at all during my run.
Prior to my test run, I was a little worried whether the BlueBuds would stay in my ears. The earbuds are kind of heavyāāwell, heavier than the iPhone headphones that I usually wear. I think the weight is probably on par with a nice, quality pair of headphones. Anyway, since we all have different size ears, the BlueBuds came with 3 different sizes of eartips and āear cushions,āĀ which worked really well. I was actually kind of surprised just how well they helped the earbuds stay put. I needed to try a few different combos (eartip + ear cushion) before I found the right fit, but once I did, the BlueBuds weren’t going anywhere!
FYI: I haven’t wore the BlueBuds to CrossFitāāonly because I don’t normally workout with headphones thereāābut the BlueBuds website has a great āCrossFit testāĀ video on the main page, which shows a couple of CrossFitters working out in them and the earbuds totally stayed put during double-unders and box jumps.
Having a snug fit in my ears made my music sound really great!
A wire connects both of the earbuds, which you can wear in front of your body below your chin, behind you on your neck, or up over your ears for an even more secure fit. I found wearing them in back behind my head to be the most comfortable fit for me.
The BlueBuds come with a couple of ācord managers,āĀ which shorten the wire so you don’t have a bunch of slack getting in the the way or bouncing around while you exercise.
I also really liked the hard case that the BlueBuds came in. My headphones are always tangled, so I really like that I have a place to keep my BlueBuds nice and neat.
The case also has a space to hold the eartips and cushions as well as a USB cable for charging, so you don’t lose any of the accessories.

I hate when earbuds fall out of my ears!
I hate how the headphones cord always gets tangled in my purse. I love the carrying case that comes with these!
Given that my head is the size of a pea my ears need these headphones!
I hate when the small cushion ring on the iphone earbuds rubs off during a run and when you get home you discover a nice pool of blood in your ear.
definitely not a fan of putting my phone/ipod on the treadmill with the headphone cord hanging…it’s inevitable that it’ll fall at some point during my run…(i could buy an armband, but until then… these would be GREAT!)
Biggest headphone annoyance – tangled cords!!
my biggest headphone annoyance is doing box jumps and knocking my headphones out since the cord is soooooooooo long!
They always fall out!
These look great, my headphones always fall out when I’m working out.
I have tiny ears, so earbuds usually fall out of my ears.
Cords always get tangled. Hate if this happens because the cord gets shorter!
I have a bad habit of snagging my hand on the headphone cord when it hangs in front with my hands which normally make my phone drop on the floor and def makes me feel unsettled and makes me feel out of sync while running

I tweeted too
Once I’m sweaty, it’s a workout just to keep earbuds intact. The extensions on these look like a game-changer.
Because of my small ears I have a problem with earbuds falling out, especially when being out running and/or sweating..
I hate when the string dangles in front of me while I am running.
I tweeted about the giveaway: http://twitter.com/evelinruns/status/293827233448067073
I hate when I lose one ear bud while running and feel like I’m spending the next 3 minutes trying to get myself resituated! That is definitely a motivation killer in the middle of a long run!
I usually just stuff the cords in my shirt, but usually just one earphone will fall out, especially on windy days for some reason. Or my ears will hurt if I’ve worn them for more than 20 minutes.
It drives me crazy that the iphone earbuds I have are constantly tangled, not matter how nicely I put them away!
My biggest headphone pev is yanking them out while running. I’ll be in my groove, pumping my arms, then boom! A swift hit to the cord and no music. No bueno. Thanks for this great giveaway!
I have the hardest time keeping earbuds in, especially once I really get moving. I also hate the cords flopping around.
Running on the treadmill with iPod on treadmill I always catch my arm on cord. š
I hate that wire that gets caught on things when I move around!
My headphones always shock me when I’m running on the treadmill. Not cool! And probably not good for long term ear health…
I have the hardest time keeping earbuds acutally in my ears. I’m constantly fumbling to keep them in place while I’m working out. I’d love to give these new ones a try!
I hate how my earbuds always fall out! would love to win a pair of these.
I hate when my headphones don’t sound awesome.
Cords and ear buds that won’t stay put are my biggest annoyance with headphones. These solve both of those problems!
So many headphone annoyances: 1) Earbuds falling out of my teensy earholes, 2) tangled wires, 3) my cat gnawing on the wires until they split. These look uber cool.
Oh man, the WORST thing about headphones is lifting weights (or running, really, any exercise) and hitting the cord, ripping the headphone from your ear AND turning the music off! Combined with someone obviously seeing you do that as you’re setting a weight down or something, and subsquently attempting to untangle the wire from said weight) is just icing on the cake.
I hate when my earbuds fall out when I run and I have to stop to adjust it.
My biggest headphone pet peeve is accidentally hitting the cord and ripping them out of your ears. Not.cool. (especially when you are running, so you look like a fool)
My biggest headphone annoyance is having to hold the excess cord while I’m running; holding my mp3 player is bad enough, that keeps my other hand occupied to.
Please, save me from that fate!
When I’m lifting free weights at the gym I almost always end up pulling at the wire and having my earbuds pop out. Maybe I’m just in the zone š I would love to try these bluetooth headphones!
The skipping and cutting out is really annoying!
wires, I hate wires
My biggest problem when it comes to headphones is having the buds always pop out of ears while running!
I hate it when headphones die from sweat!
Routing ear buds through my shirt is not cool, and they fly around your face everywhere when I use the elliptical and such! I totally support wireless ‘buds 100% š
Falling out of my ears when training.
I hate when I am working out and my MP3 player falls out of my pocket and RIPS my headphones out of my ears… no bueno.
I hate when the headphone cables get caught on something while I’m running.
I just started running 6 months ago and I’m running my first half marathon in a couple weeks. I am a wall of sweat by mile 2 and I have tried many many many many different headphones with no luck(wife accusing me of having a headphone hoarding issue). Those BlueBuds X look like the solution to my problems……… and maybe put a halt to the divorce proceedings š lol. All joking aside I would really like to be able to run my first big run without the distraction of dangling wires and buds sliding out of my ears every 5 seconds. Thanks for reading my tiny little rant and I’ll be twitterizing too. Healthy and happy days to all!!!
Biggest annoyance: EarPod dropping out of my ears every other minute. No matter what I do, if I nod, turn my head, adjust my glasses, hoodie brushes it, anything — it just drops out. It’s not like I have strange ears or anything; they look, feel, and sound like normal ears. Either the EarPod designer has sticky ears or something, but mine are just normal.
I hate that when you start to sweat during a workout the weight of the wires make the buds fall out….not to mention the cord flopping around and getting in the way
Wait a minute…I can’t be the only male on this blog, can I?? Anyways, these “wireless” ear buds look awesome. I can see wearing them to walk my dog (Westie named Tabo) or X-Fitting, especially during those long rows.
Wires pulling out the earbuds any time you move the wrong way.
I hate hen my headphones fall out when I run.
Biggest annoyance is when my headphones fall out of your ears as soon as you start to run š
