Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Well, as you know, I have been struggling to find balance between all of the various pieces of my life: the blog, my full-time job, family, friends, fitness (including training for a half marathon), cooking, cleaning, sleeping, obsessing about pugs, etc. At times, I thought I had found the balance, but now, I am just feeling burnt-out. So, for the next week, I am taking a break from blogging to unwind and de-stress.

I will miss you, dear readers! Have a wonderful and balanced week!

  1. We’ll miss you a lot, but I hope that you have a rest on your break and come back rejuvenated and re-energized!

  2. Aww I”ll miss your posts! But I TOTALLY understand! Blogging just takes SO much time, it can definitely get overwhelming when you have a busy life to begin with. Enjoy your week off 🙂

  3. good for you!
I think it’s so good to know when one need a break…..after all ,life did exist for us all before blogs, internet, twitter etc ? I don’t have a blog, or facebook,or twitter because I am trying to simplify and find I am on computer too much already with email, reading blogs, etc!
And to really bring it home the incredibly tragic death of the beloved brother of one of my fave bloggers Jenna(Eat,Live,Run) has shocked me into realizing we can’t take any moment with loved one’s for granted…we never know how long our time is here on the earth. My thoughts are with Jenna and her family and friends, even though I only know her through her blog.
So take lots of breaks from your wonderful blog,it’s a sign you know how to take care of your real life.I truly admire that.

  4. Have a wonderful and balanced week. We all need a break and to take some “you” time – enjoy! We will be here ready to read again when you return 🙂

  5. (Haha, I love my ability to make stupid grammer mistakes) What I’m trying to say is that YOU are your first priority, so take as long of a break as you need!!

  6. hi….i very recently found your blog and have really enjoyed it. Wishing you a healthy balance this week, please know that you have good support out there ! when i am feeling overwhelmed, i remind myself that i need to stop and breathe….glad that you are doing the same.

  7. Enjoy!
I ALWAYS wonder how people have time to keep up with such consistent posting everyday. You need a break!

  8. You will be missed, but I am glad that you are taking care of yourself. I hope you have a great week and are able to find the time you need to relax and take care of yourself.

  9. Have a great break. You blog so often that I can understand why you’re feeling burnt out. I think a break is a great way to feel renewed and to rediscover why you enjoyed and started doing it in the first place.

  10. i love that you include “obsessing about pugs” 🙂

If you feel a break is needed, then it is! Enjoy your week “off”, relax – everyone needs a vacation from EVERYthing sometimes.

  11. Much love to you on your well deserved break. I think it is wonderful that you are taking the time that you need to refresh. We get so overwhelmed by life and often times forget that self care is the most important thing we can do. Good for you for caring for yourself. I support you 100% and will be here when you get back.

  12. Have a good break- we all totally understand, you put out amazing work but it’s got to be sooo hard to balance it all at times. I’m glad you’re taking the time for you & we’ll all be here back and reading when you come back 🙂

  13. Tina: Your dedication to multiple posts a day is amazing, but I can see where that would get overwhelming. Although as a reader, I love checking in thru the day and finding new posts, I also follow bloggers who post once a day or once every 2-3 days. Don’t hold yourself to the idea that you must chronicle every morsel that enters your mouth, unless this helps you with your eating plan. Perhaps you slightly restructure your frequency or style. As you said, it does evolve.
