All good things must come to an end.

Did you watch the Breaking Bad finale last night? I don’t want to give anything away, but I like how the show ended. The writers tied up all of the loose ends and didn’t leave us hanging like some shows do.
Breaking Bad is definitely a show that will go down in history as one of the best. I’m sad that it’s over, but I’m content with how it ended””and now I want to watch the whole series from the beginning to relive it all again! Best.Show.Ever.
Dinner
Mal and I celebrated the series finale of Breaking Bad with Hoisin Heisenbergers, burgers inspired by the show.
While we cooked, we listened to a Breaking Bad playlist on Songza.
The “Cooking with Walter White” playlist was really good! I didn’t know I was such a fan of “dad-rock classics.” (We listened to Jesse’s playlist, which was all rap, but we didn’t like it as much.)
I made Marie’s Purple Slaw and the Spicy Hoisin Mayonnaise while Mal was on burger duty.
Murphy and I kept Mal company while he grilled outside. The pug loved the smell of the Hoisin Heisenbergers! Look at him sniffing the air. So cute!
The burgers turned out so well!! I loved the Spicy Hoisin Mayonnaise, and the recipe made a huge serving, so I’ll be putting that on everything for the next few days. The actual burgers had so much flavor””the ginger, sesame, soy sauce, and hoisin were incredible together. We will definitely make these again!
After dinner, Mal and I cleaned up the kitchen together. I washed dishes and loaded the dishwasher while he took out the garbage. When Mal was bagging up the trash, he found a little surprise waiting for him at the bottom of the trash can.
The skull strikes again!!! I got him. Mal said it was my best one yet!
(I made sure to disinfect the skull after I removed it from the bottom of the trash can.)

Questions of the Day
Did you watch the Breaking Bad finale?
What show(s) were you sad to see end?
Now that the show has officially ended, I’m just starting to watch Breaking Bad…and it is definitely an amazing show! I can’t believe I missed out for so long!
Those burgers look awesome. All the flavour sounds like a great combo.
I get too anxious and impatient waiting each week for new episodes so I tend to start watching shows on Netflix a season or two into the series. I am on Season 2 of Breaking Bad so I definitely have to be careful not to hear how it all ends!!
I was really into Lost – especially the first 2 seasons – but then it fell apart a bit and I stopped watching 3 episodes from the Series Finale. I probably should just sit down and finish it so I know how it ends, but everyone said it didn’t end well so I haven’t spent the time yet.
I will admit to watching Revenge on Sunday nights. I’m not sure why I like that show so much, but it’s great for ending a weekend.
This has nothing to do with your post but if you are a homeward bound fan, you have to watch this pug video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cnstd0ASQHg so cute!
That’s so cute!!! Thanks for sharing the link! 🙂
Okay, I have got to go back and watching all of Breaking Bad!! I have heard so many great things. The burgers look wonderful!
Ha, I thought we loved BB, you two are too much! I LOVE Breaking Bad, so sad its over. Not sure that Saul’s new show will be good, but keepin my fingers crossed!
I was sad when Weeds was over (although I dont think I have seen the last season.?)
I have to find a new show to get into, but it has to be realllly good, as I am not really a TV person.
I LOVED the Breaking Bad finale!! I think it ended pretty well & I do like how they tied up the loose ends. I’m just sad it’s all over! Now I need to find a new show to watch. 😉
Revenge came back last night- and I would be so sad if it ended!!
My husband and I were just talking last night about just buying the show. I’ve heard so many awesome things about it, that we just know we’ll like it.
I just started Breaking Bad last week! Currently about 3/4 through season 2. I can’t wait to finish just to see what could possible be going on!!
I also was extremely satisfied with how the show ended. But very sad at the same time! My boyfriend and I just got into BB in July and we watched the entire series on netflix all summer until the new season came out then we watched it live. My boyfriend is obsessed. he wants to get a breaking bad tattoo. They had a commercial for the entire box set which comes out in November and he gushed like a little kid ” I WANT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!”…At least know I know what to get him for Christmas!
Mal too! Haha! 🙂
I think I might need to jump on the Breaking Bad train once all the seasons are on Netflix…I know I’m late for the trend, but watching TV isn’t a big priority for me! I was sad to see Gossip Girl end, but felt they ended it at the right time and in the right way!
We watch seasons of shows on Netflix, and we’ve tried watching Breaking Bad but couldn’t really get into it. I suppose we need to watch more than just the first episode though… Maybe we’ll have to give it another shot! 😉
I love how Murphy is always *right there* when you’re doing anything in the kitchen. My Rango is like that too! Little piggies. <3
I love how into the finale you guys got!! Breaking Bad is an awesome show. This is definitely a throw back, but I think the saddest I ever was to see a show end was Boy Meets World! I may or may not have cried… 🙂
SO SO SO SO SO GOOD! Love your burger idea! We’ll have to try ’em. 😉
I thought the finale was perfect! You’re totally right. All the loose ends were tied and I wasn’t left wishing I knew more. I’m thrilled Jessie got away. That’s all I wanted!
I’m still working my way through Breaking Bad. I’m in season 4 and annoyed with it right now.
Oh I was still driving home from Mass last night and missed the finale! We are hoping to watch it tonight on DVR. I ‘m just hoping no spoilers today!!!!! 🙂
LOVEEEE Breaking Bad!!!!!!!!!!
Heisenbergers!! I love it.
I have two episodes left to watch! I always get scared when a show I love is about to end and then I always leave the last few episodes for awhile. Kind of weird.
Haha nice going with the skull!
And those burgers look AMAZING.
I might be giving away my age here, but when Cheers ended I think everyone in my family was a little teary eyed..
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Breaking Bad! I’m sad it’s over but I agree they ended it well and I feel satisfied. I really want the total package DVD collection 🙂 I’m at work and it’s almost lunch time and I’m starving and now all I can think about is those burgers lol!
I’ve never seen Breaking Bad. I’m not a huge TV watcher but I was actually super sad to see House and Jersey Shore end. (I know Jersey Shore is terrible, trashy TV but I LOVED it)
I’ve heard such good things about Breaking Bad, but I’ve never actually watched it. But I was so sad that Dexter ended! The series finale was a bit disappointing, but the show overall was amazing.
Btw, love your little statement about disinfecting the skull haha!
I may have to check out Breaking Bad-I only saw one episode and never watched it again. I was sad to see the show Brothers and Sisters end(haha major nerd alert), I just loved that show!
We are just finishing Season 1 of Breaking Bad, and I’m hooked. Just can’t get enough of Aaron Paul – he’s so adorable :-).
When I think of shows I was sad to see end, I think of Friends. I was in college and me and my roomie were literally crying during the Ross/Rachel plane scene. With a 10 year run, that show embodied so much of my childhood. No matter how I was feeling, an episode could always cheer me up 🙂
I made these last night too thanks to your post about them! They were yummy!! Loved the ending of BB too… so sad its over!
I dont watch it but every one around me does! I am thinking I have to start watching on Netflix now. I was pretty much crushed when the O.C ended. ha-ha
I’m so jealous of your little breaking bad party at home! I’m traveling for work this week and I was so excited to watch it, but when I got to my hotel they didn’t carry AMC! After some desperate internet searching, I found a low-quality version that was live streaming, haha. It was an amazing finale!
We had some friends over last night to watch the finale…I LOVED how they ended it!! so so good.
I am so happy with how the ending went!!! It’s such a good show and like you, I’m feeling really sad that it’s over. Maybe I’ll do what you’re doing and watch the whole thing over again!!
I was really satisfied with the ending; in fact I can’t think of another show that I felt this way about!
My husband and I just recently started watching Breaking Bad from the very beginning. We only have one season left to catch up on, so for the next week or so I’ll be avoiding spoilers as much as possible!! Lol
That is awesome that the skull striked again! way to go 🙂
The skull cracks me up every single time!
I think I may be the only person who still hasn’t seen one episode of Breaking Bad…… I should check if it’s on Netflix and get out from under that rock I’ve been under haha.
Dawsons Creek and the Gilmore Girls….! I hardly watch TV these days…maybe I should start with Breaking Bad!!! So much talk about it even over here!
I’m gonna miss the show sooo much! Now I don’t know what to watch!
No Breaking Bad for me (I know – everyone is into it but us!!). I was sad to see Sopranos and Friends end. But there are always new shows to watch – Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end 🙂

I love that you feel the need to share that you sanitized the skull. Lol. I never even thought about that but I guess since Mal puts it everywhere and anywhere it may show up in your food one day. 😉
Im sad BB is over, but glad how it ended too, I knew he would go back for those crazy people and glad Jessi was free, love that show!
I love your skull game with Mal! It’s come back with a vengeance lately!
And the show I will never forget was FRIENDS ending. It ended on my 18th birthday — and I pretty much mourned the entire night. haha At least I celebrated the weekend after…
Okay… definitely going to have to start watching breaking bad. My husband and I have been debating it, but the hype from the finale and your post might have just set us over the edge!! Your burgers look awesome!
We’ve been fans of Breaking Bad since the start of our relationship a couple of years ago. It was just a show that I had already watched the first season of but couldn’t continue cause I was too scared to watch it by myself! Lol! My bf convinced me to watch it again with him and we’ve loved it ever since. I love that Songza had a BB playlist! That’s so fun. And your Heisenburgers look fantastic, love the purple Marie slaw. Very cute! Sad that the show is over but it was a great ending. I really liked Norm MacDonald’s theory on how the show actually ended, very surreal but totally possible! http://www.uproxx.com/tv/2013/10/norm-mcdonald-breaking-bad/
