You will have a BLAST!! I did an overnight team relay last year on the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky and it was so much fun. Sure, you don’t sleep much and will probably end up running on the side of the road at 4am wondering what you got yourself into….but I’m sure you’ll come out of it so happy you decided to participate! I hope you have a great time. I thought about trying to get on a team for the Cape Relay after having such a great time at the Bourbon one but it’s quite a hike for me (living outside of Detroit) and I never got my act together. Have fun!!
That relay looks like so much fun! Good luck.
I saw your post about your fave beer spots in Boston area last week and wanted to share this place: http://www.canarysquare.com/home
Have you been?
Drunk-dialing is one thing… drunk-signing-up for a relay race is totally crazy! That relay is a great route, starts out in Borderland in near my home town. You lucked out with weather this AM!
Haha, you’re going to have sooo much fun! I’ve done the Hood 2 Coast relay with my running group a few times here in Oregon and this summer we’re doing a different relay in central Oregon (Cascade Lakes Relay) and each time it’s a new and crazy experience. So much bonding time and random eating. Hang in there!
Wow! My drunk thoughts never have lead to a long-distance relay! A few of my friends recently completed one on the road to Hana in Maui (we live on Oahu). They had a blast and I’m sure yours will be amazing! I’m almost thinking about drinking some beer tonight and signing up for that road to Hana relay! You’ve inspired me! π Have a great time!!!!

I just did the SoCal Ragnar Relay last month with coworkers (we were 2nd in our division) and it was the most fun I’ve had being miserable ever.
