Guys, I’m on a serious smoothie kick lately. It’s just so darn hot here, they are one of the only things that sound appetizing to me. But, of course, that’s totally okay since smoothies are such a great way to pack lots of nutrients into your diet and this one is no different. It’s also incredibly tasty!
This recipe calls for just four ingredients, which you might already have in your kitchen. Awesome. These ingredients are also quite substantial when combined together, so this smoothie will fill you up and keep you satisfied for hours. Also awesome.
Ingredients:
- 1 medium banana (frozen or add ice)
- 1/2 medium avocado
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup orange juice
Directions: Combine ingredients in a blender until smooth. Makes 1-2 servings.
P.S. It’s Amazon Prime Day today!! Time to stock up on EVERYTHING!

Yumm!
I am just diving into the world of a happy gut (sounds horrible). I wonder if this smoothie would be okay, or if maybe I should sub out the Orange?
Yum. That smoothie looks delicious and nutritious. Is this the first year for Amazon Prime day or was it around last year too? I don’t remember hearing about it…
That smoothie looks delicious and filling because of the protein and healthy fat. And I’m so excited I have all of the ingredients to make it this morning! Thanks for the recipe!
Adding avocado to my smoothie is one of my favorite new ingredients. I love the creamy and smooth consistency it gives to a smoothie. Do you add ice? Mine are typically half ice because I like smoothies super cold.
Thanks for the reminder about Amazon Prime! I loaded up my cart last night so I was ready to go today!
I’m always a fan of smoothies! I’ve done avocado in a smoothie once and thought it was great and creamy but I still prefer to eat my avocados and use bananas in smoothies for the creaminess factor!
I’ve been on a huge juicing kick with watermelon. It is so refreshing in the summer!
Fresh watermelon juice is the best!!
I love putting avocado in my smoothies! I would say it makes them so ‘smooth’ but that is the texture of a ‘smoothie’, right!? š
What is that avocado holder??? Does it work?
Yep! It’s awesome! I did a mini review on CNC a few weeks ago.
Definitely going to give this smoothie a try!
Yummy! I love adding avocado to smoothies adds so much richness. I have been looking forward to Prime Day all week!
Yum! I’d like to try it with a whole orange instead of just the juice. Bet that would make it super thick š
I am disappointed by Prime Day. I had such high hopes!!
Yummy! I’m always looking for new ways to add avocados into my smoothies : )
I have never tried avocado in my smoothie. I’ve been loving a morning coffee, protein powder and banana smoothie though!
This looks really good! I’m going to make it as soon as I get back from vacation! Thanks for sharing!
I’m obsessed with a similar smoothie, same ingredients as above plus frozen strawberries. Reminds me of the minute maid combo with orange and bannana. Yum!
I NEED that smoothie!!!
Why haven’t I ever put avocado in a smoothie before?! Brilliant! Thank you for the inspiration! š
Yes to the smoothie love! And avocados in smoothies are awesome. I love this tropical combo!
I always want to try the avocado in a smoothie thing… but then every time I get an avocado, I want to eat it on it’s own or in something where I can taste it… so I can never get myself to do the smoothie. ha!
I am always on a smoothie kick! Especially in the summer of course. As for Prime Day, anyone else disapointed?
Would have never thought of combining these three flavors- what a cool idea, it looks absolutely delicious!
Amazon Prime Day is kinda a bust.
Yum! I am so making this!!
I do like the taste of avocado in a salad but never liked it in a smoothie. I am not sure if I will like this combination though it looks yummy!
Looks great! Thanks for the recipe.
Glad to hear you on the Girls Gone WOD podcast!!
This looks delicious!! Could use a new smoothie recipe and have always wanted to try one with avocado!!
