Good morning and happy Monday, friends!
Did you have a nice Easter Sunday? Ours was great and it was an especially nice holiday because we spent it with family and also because it was Quinn’s first Easter.
We went to my Grammie’s house for Easter brunch, which included all sorts of delicious food, including an Almond Cake that my cousin made and, holy cow, I ate like three or four pieces of it. I honestly couldn’t stop once I started and, man, it tasted incredible with iced coffee. I highly recommend it for a brunch get-together. I also love this quiche recipe. It’s typically my go-to for brunches. I actually made it for my Grammie’s brunch yesterday as well as one with bacon using the same recipe (minus the mushrooms).
Before we all sat down for brunch, we caught up with everyone, and Quinn received a few gifts from family members, including a Dalmatian hat (super cute), three Sandra Boynton books (our favorite), Matchbox cars, and an Easter balloon from my Grammie, which Quinn absolutely loved.
He thought it was the coolest thing ever!
Then, it was time to eat. We had a huge spread of food… scalloped potatoes, lobster mac & cheese, baked ham, roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta, quiche, broccoli salad, and, oh, so many desserts.
Hooray for Easter brunch!
After brunch, we all headed outside for an Easter egg hunt.
Quinn was a little to young to participate this year, but he had a blast playing outside with Dad.
This boy loves to walk!
Hurry up, Dad!
Before we said goodbye to everyone, we snapped a quick family photo. Please note my jean on jean outfit. Mal assured me it was stylish, but I couldn’t help but think I was committing a fashion faux pas all day long.
