Ash’s Bridal Bash

Mastermind Weekend 1/16

Hey there!

I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.

An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

Wahoo! Ashley’s bridal bash was a blast! What a night we had! The bride-to-be definitely enjoyed herself, and I’m so glad that we were able to give her a fun night out!

Making t-shirts for Ashley’s bachelorette was such a great idea! Everyone really got into it– and the bright green shirts made it much easier to find one another in a crowded bar.

The group spent a couple of hours playing games and “pre-gaming” before we were picked-up and driven to Portland for the night.

I loved not having to think about what to wear for a night out with the girls. I threw on some jeans, my flip flops, a hoodie, my green t-shirt, and I was ready to go!

The bride requested that we all include a farm animal on our t-shirts in honor of her upbringing on a dairy farm. I drew a MALlard on my shirt! 😀

The hometown gals…

The bar of choice for the evening was Bull Feeney’s, a charming Irish Pub in Portland. Bull Feeney’s had live music and lots of space for dancing, which was the perfect setting for bachelorette (and bachelor) party shenanigans.

I started with an Allagash White and a cup of coffee at the bar. (The caffeine helped after a long day at the beach.)

Over the course of the night, I ended up drinking 2 more beers, but I cut myself off when we headed to a second bar. I knew I had drank enough for the night, which ended up being a good decision considering how blah I felt when I woke up this morning. 😕

At the bar, bachelorette ridiculousness ensued! It was so fun!

Towards the end of the night, our bachelorette party got the itch to dance, so we headed to a more “clubby” bar called Oasis to “bust-a-move.”

I was not a fan of Oasis at all. It wasn’t my scene (too loud, too crowded) and the rude bartenders made my experience even worse. But, of course, for the sake of the bride-to-be, I put on a happy face and partied-it-up with her.

At Oasis, the bride played some games…

And danced the night away! 😎

And, in typical drunk girl fashion, we raided the fridge when we got home from the bars. I enjoyed a couple of brownies and some water before bed.

All in all, it was a FABULOUS night!!! I seriously love bachelorette parties! There’s nothing better than a night out with the girls!

  1. Oh my gosh, what a party! I hope you recover after all that (you definitely made a good choice about the stopping drinking). But the drunken consumption of brownies is always permissible! Who could resist? YUM! 😉

  2. Wow! It looks like ya’ll had such a great time!
Isn’t it funny how when girls get together we always eat something chocolatey!? Never fails for me and my girls. haha

  3. Sounds fab (minus Oasis!)… this (not drunk) girl would love a brownie too lol

Now, I just need my parents to have a daughter so I can have a sister too… ‘cept by the time she’s ready to get married I’d be too old to really plan anything other than knitting at her bachelorette party lol

  4. My girlfriends need to start getting married! I’ve never been to a bachlorette party, and MAN do they seem fun! Glad you had a great time and didn’t get into too much trouble 😉

  5. would you mind sharing where you got married and maybe some of the vendors you used? i have a friend getting married in the boston area and any suggestions would be fabulous!

  6. Liz, I got married in Boston. We chartered a yacht and had a clam bake. It was small and not super fussy, but an amazing fun time! I would be happy to share vendors if you were interested.

  7. Hey Tina! Just wondering where in Maine you were at (where the beach pics from the last post were taken). I am guessing it is the Kittery/Ogunquit/Kennebunkport area based on how long you said it took you to get there from Boston. I no longer live there but I was born and raised in Maine 🙂

  8. @liz: All of my vendors are from NH, so I’m not sure they will help. Our reception was at Sky Meadow in Nashua and our photographer was Rick Trottier from NH as well.

  9. There were so many bachelorette parties out in Ptown on Sat night.
Looks like you guys had a blast!
Bull Feeneys is an awesome bar, I love it.
The oasis on the other hand…we refer as the “ho-asis” as I’m sure after being there you can see why.
Too bad you guys missed Old Port Fest on Sunday, it was gorgeous outside and such a fun party atmosphere.

  10. I was in the Old Port that night..I wish I ran into the green party 🙂 glad you had fun…loove bull feeney’s!
