Apple Watch Versus Fitbit 2

Hey friends! Happy Monday!

Just popping in real quick to share some Monday things with you! 🙂

First up, we had our 7th annual Friendsgiving celebration on Saturday. I did a terrible job snapping photos, but, hey, I promise I had an amazing time. I was busy eating, drinking, and being merry with friends, which, of course, is what Friendsgiving is all about! 🙂

Bringing a couple of bottles of Mal’s birth year wine. A case of it had been sitting in his dad’s basement for years (decades!!) now, so we decided it was time to enjoy them!

We brought Oreos to pair with the wine. It’s a long story, but it’s a long-time favorite pairing for some of our friends! 😉

The Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie that I made for dessert was gobbled right up! We served it with vanilla ice cream at Friendsgiving, and the parents of kids with nut and egg allergies were especially thankful for it! 🙂 If you want the recipe, just leave your email address, and I’ll email it to you!

The other exciting news for today is that I finally bought an Apple Watch!! I had been waffling about whether to buy the new Fitbit Versa 2 or an Apple Watch for weeks now. An Instagram follower told me about a great Black Friday deal on the Apple Watch 4 at Best Buy, so I just bit the bullet and purchased it. Merry Christmas to me! And, of course, I couldn’t be more excited!

My Fitbit Versa, which I lovvvvveeddd has been acting weird at Orangetheory lately. Last week, it took 7-8 minutes to register my heart rate.

And then this morning, it only recorded 30 minutes of an hour-long class. Whomp whomp. It’s basically dying a slow death.

I watched this video from CNET over the weekend, which was really helpful in deciding between the two tracking watches. Definitely give it a watch if you’re on the fence!

That’s all for now, BUT I have some REALLY exciting news to share with you tomorrow. Check Instagram for an exciting post tomorrow! 😉 Oh, man, 2020 is going to be AWESOME. I have so much to tell you! 🙂

Question of the Day

Do you have an Apple Watch? Do you love it? I heard a rumor it syncs with the OTF app – is that true?

P.S. This was a good read – just wanted to share: 7 Surprising Health Benefits of Gratitude!

  1. I only have a Fitbit HR Charge, I had different models in the last 4-5 years and I’m very satisfied with it. Been through many workouts, mud races, big snow or hot summer long hikes, everything and then some more. I hate the bulkyness of a smartwatch, even the Charge seem too large for my tiny wrists some days.

  2. I’ll be curious to hear how you like the Apple watch for running. I would love one but am so tied to my Garmin for running. We have a family subscription to Apple Music so I would love to listen while running (I don’t run with my phone). In my ideal world, Garmin and Apple would team up lol

  3. I prefer the design if Fitbit because the screen of Apple Watch is a little big, but Apple Watch will be a good choice when I have an iPhone. So hard to choose.
