Murphy says GOOD MORNING!!!
Ok, well, he probably didn’t say it that enthusiastically, but he’s still happy to send you some positive pug vibes for a good day!
Please note Murphy’s new stuffed toy that he brought to bed with him. I know he brought it to bed with him because dog toys are highly illegal in our bed. I’m obsessed with having clean sheets, and it’s already gross enough that we let Murphy sleep in our bed, so nasty stuffed dog toys are definitely not allowed. I’m glad Murphy likes his new toy, but I tossed it onto the floor as soon as I noticed it was next to him. Eww.
Breakfast
I had an oldie but goodie for breakfast this morning: Overnight Oats in a Jar! Long time, no see, friend! In the mix: rolled oats, granola, almond milk, chia seeds, trail mix, and a couple of scoops of almond butter. So delicious!
Lunch
On the way home from the November Project yesterday morning, I told Kerrie all about the amazing Mushroom and Gruyere Quiche that I made last week. I ended up having such a craving for it, I made it again yesterday afternoon for lunch and then ate some of the leftovers for lunch today. It’s the easiest recipe ever and turns out so well! It also doesn’t require a zillion eggs, which I really liked too. Definitely try out this one!
Did you guys hear Amazon worked out a deal with the United States Post Office to offer shipping on Sundays?

Best thing ever? Yes indeed! My Amazon obsession is definitely going to get a lot worse. If you’re like us and have Amazon Prime, forget about it. Mal and I order so much stuff. It’s ridiculous.
Last night, for instance, we ordered a Christmas present for my sister, razors refills for me (they’re so much cheaper on Amazon than drugstores), and new pillow cases for our couch. I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen when our holiday shopping starts. There will probably be a box delivered to our house everyday!

My addiction with Amazon only gets worse with time. Once I got Amazon Prime, it got really bad. Who wouldn’t be obsessed with Amazon. Almost anything you want, 2 day shipping, great return policy, delivered right to your doorstep. Its really trouble! It is where I order 75% of my running toys and fitness gear. Glad to know I’m in good company.
We have Prime and I kinda feel like I may go into withdrawl if we ever cancel. Didn’t know about the Sunday shipping – but who doesn’t need another day to look forward to getting a package in the mail? π

Thought you might enjoy this haha. Maybe you can show it to Mal.
I don’t know how I’d survive without Amazon, especially the Subscribe and Save plan. It’s an obsession for sure! Lately I’ve been thinking I should delete it from my phone – its just too easy!
OBSESSED with Amazon Prime! It’s more convenient that driving to the store, and the prices are usually better! What was the brand of the gel polish UV light you use? I remember your review from a few weeks back and was going to look into it!
It’s called Red Carpet: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00662Z24A?ie=UTF8&creativeASIN=B00662Z24A&linkCode=xm2&tag=canca0c-20 It’s AWESOME! I use it ALL the time! Best money I’ve ever spent! π
I’ll never get sick of pictures of Murphy π
I love buying from Amazon and they actually just brought out amazon.com.au which I think means shipping to Australia will be even quicker than what it is now.
I always enjoy quiche but haven’t made it many times, really should change that.
When we moved in together, my boyfriend laid down the law- No Cats In The Bed. At first I thought it was so mean, but I have to admit, it’s actually pretty nice to not have pets in the bed. I did babysit a pug recently and I put him in the bed with us though. My house isn’t exactly dog-proof and I wasn’t about to leave the poor thing alone with the cats all night. He isn’t allowed to sleep in the bed at home so he definitely thought it was the best thing ever! LOL
Yes there was an amazon box waiting for me when I got home today. We buy our cat food on amazon!
I LOVE Amazon – they have such amazing deals and carry just about everything. I didn’t hear about the Sunday shipping. That’s so awesome!
Getting Prime made it worse. Downloading the app made it even worse.
As I was scooping out the last of my almond butter yesterday morning, I thought that it has been a while since I’ve had OOIAJ too…your blog was def the place first saw that on and used to eat it all the time!
Haven’t read all the comments so someone maybe already wrote this BUT you do know that if you sign up for 5 or more subscribe and save items a month you get 20% OFF, right? Its the BEST. We use it as a virtual Costco/BJs because most of the items for subscribe and save are kind of bulk like…toilet paper, paper towels, power bars, dish washing detergent, oxy clean.
I heart Amazon!
I REALLY need to do this!
Ugh Amazon…so addicting. I should sit down and do some serious price comparisons on some of the basic things we buy though.
I’m definitely obsessed with Amazon and looooove having Prime. Free 2-day shipping? Uh, yes please! We’ve probably already paid for our membership with the savings on the 2-day shipping!
The best thing? When my family inevitably asks me what we’d like for Christmas, we send them our Amazon wish lists we keep throughout the year when something pops up we don’t want to splurge on. So simple!
Um I love Amazon too and Prime is absolutely the best thing ever!
I’m not the only one?!! I have a Kindle app on my iPad and I’ve ordered more books than I could possibly read in years. And it got worse when I signed up for Prime. I’m almost disappointed when there isn’t a box waiting for me on my doorstep. π
Is murphy’s new toy from the November Barkbox? My dog has already torn the squeaky part out of his…
Yep! He loves it! Γ°ΕΈΛβ
I’ve been ordering from Amazon since it began. And even more frequently in recent years. So convenient and many times much less expensive than the drug store or other brick & mortar stores for many items. In the past 3 days I’ve ordered so much stuff, but I pretty much have Christmas wrapped up, so to speak.
Love reading your blog. Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving.
Love quiche and haven’t had it in a really long time…yours looks DELISH! I love Amazon. You can now find everything on there…it’s AWESOME!
I understand that Amazon is appealing to a lot of people, but there’s a great deal more to the issue than getting cheap stuff conveniently. Is no one paying attention to the many recent reports about the company in the news? Countless reports of terrible working conditions and mistreatment of employees. When you support Amazon, you’re supporting the destruction of small local businesses AND helping perpetuate the growing gap between the middle class and the working poor in America. If you must support big-box stores, consider Costco instead, which is known for paying their employees living wages and offering benefits. Research, people. Pay attention.
I gotta try Joanna’s recipe and love the Mushroom Quiche. I just ate some yesterday and paid $6 for a slice. SIGH! I’ve made frittatas, never quiche.
OMG.. i signed up for amazon prime and then got rid of it, i was too cheap. But I love the service. π
