Good morning! Here’s a little recap from yesterday!

Mal took over the morning routine with Quinn, so I could work, which meant our little guy was quite stylin’ with cuffed jeans and boat shoes for daycare. Too cute.

I stopped working for a bit and whipped up some scrambled eggs with Breakfast Potatoes, roasted summer squash, and ketchup. Then, I hopped in the shower, poured myself an iced coffee in a travel mug, and drove up to New Hampshire with Mal to meet with our financial adviser.

We’re suppose to meet with him quarterly to review our portfolio, butttttt we haven’t seen him in 1.5 years. Oops. We’ve had conference calls since then, but not a face-to-face meeting since Quinn was a newborn. Long story short, it was most definitely time for a meeting. (I had some fun with Snapchat in the waiting room before our appointment. Like my Glamour Shot?)

Everything went well at our appointment and, surprisingly, we were in and out in about an hour. After that, we swung by Burton’s for a quick lunch and more business talk. I ended up ordering the Sesame Crusted Tuna, which was fresh, flavorful, and, oh, so delicious. It’s actually one of my go-tos when I dine at Burton’s.

Then, we hit the road to drive back to the South Shore. On the drive, we listened to “90s Singalong Hits,” which was quite entertaining for the both of us. Mal belted out Meatloaf’s “I’d Do Anything for Love” while I nailed every word of Lisa Loeb’s “Stay.” (Mal was  impressed.) It’s funny how lyrics come right back to you, huh?

When we got home, I went straight to work while Mal headed to CrossFit for a workout. After a little while, I started to get hungry, so I made myself a snack of Greek yogurt with Peanut Butter Puffins and banana slices. (FYI: I added an additional handful of Puffins once I ate them all.)

I spent the rest of the afternoon working before taking Murphy for a walk and then picking up Quinn from daycare.

Back at home, I shared a plum with Quinn and then made dinner, which was pan-seared scallops with a bunch of leftover (Sunday prep) veggies from the fridge.

After dinner, I enjoyed a couple of pieces of hazelnut chocolate and then put Quinn to bed.

The rest of my evening was spent work, work, working. I also ate a KINb bar and drank some orange juice mixed with lemon seltzer and collagen before bed.

The end.

Question of the Day

What song from the 90s do you know every word of?
