I'm Tina

I’m the owner of Carrots ‘N’ Cake as well as a Certified Nutrition Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). I use macros and functional nutrition to help women find balance within their diets while achieving their body composition goals.


An in-depth, 4-week reverse dieting course for women who feel like their metabolism has slowed down, think they might have hormonal imbalance and can’t lose weight no matter what they do.

I’m having one of those mornings. Getting out of bed was a serious struggle, I spilled iced coffee all over the kitchen counter, and, just now, I realized that I missed a project deadline. Rough start to the day, huh? I guess I need a little pick-me-up. I bet a cupcake would make me feel better! 😉


Minus the coffee incident, breakfast was pretty darn good. I love meals with a wide variety of tastes, textures, and flavors like this morning’s.

I had a toasted Butterscotch Muffin with melted butter.

(I wrote down the recipe for these muffins on a Post-It, but it went MIA. But, I will make them again soon!)

What do you like best about yourself?



  1. I love my legs, my tummy (despite its refusal to form a sixpack), my muscular arms, my great genetically-given cheekbones, and my long hair. I also love my long lashes that always make people think I’m wearing false ones!

    I also love my ability to make bad situations okay, and I’ve been told I give great hugs.

    I realize I wrote a volume, but I’m coming from years of Fat talk and now I’m experimenting with ‘Phat’ talk! 😉

  2. I love my attitude of perseverance, my strong legs that carry around 265.4lbs of weight (currently), and my butt. Seriously, i’ve got a good bootay hahaha!

    Hoping to score that Garmin! I’m going to be a RUNNER, darn it!

    I love that I’m thoughtful. I really listen to other people and like to surprise them with random gifts that they need or want.

  4. I love that I am always the first person to laugh at myself when I do something ditzy or klutzy! I don’t take myself too seriously, and feel like a good sense of humor is important.

  9. I love my swimmer’s shoulders. Sometimes it can be hard to find clothes that look right but my shoulders are big and strong and I EARNED them with hard work in the pool!

  10. So excited- I would love a Garmin! It would be a great addition to my Husband and I’s new healthy take on life… wanted one forever!

  11. This is random, but I love my smile. It just completes my face and smiling at myself actually makes me happy – which sounds really narcissistic, but hopefully you know what I mean. 😉

    Sorry about the not so pleasant start to your day. Sometimes you just have to laugh at the little things and remember that the only thing you can control in life is your emotions towards a situation and/or individual.

  13. I like how when I set my mind to do something I will do it….no matter what…
    Drooling over the Garmin, especially since I’m training for a real marathon right now. Wow, that’d be the coolest thing ever.
