Mal has been away at a bachelor party all weekend, so it’s been just Murphy and me hanging out. With the pug’s eyes all gunky and ulcer-y, I decided to have a low-key weekend at home and take care of him the best I could, which meant that we had a crazy Saturday night together.
Dinner
The main event of my evening was eating a smorgasbord of goodies in front the TV while watching a girly movie. Sounds kind of awesome, right? It was!
Here’s what I ate: Roasted broccoli + Sweet Potato Wedges with peanut butter.
Horseradish pub cheese.
With Pretzel Crisps.
And wine!
The pug enjoyed some “Peanut Butter Murphy Time” with his Kong.
While I ate dinner, I watched Friends With Kids, which equally excited and scared me to have children someday.
I really liked the movie and it kept me entertained the entire time. (I usually fall asleep during movies at home.) Murphy, however, did not appreciate all of the ringing cell phones in it, especially the default iPhone ring. It’s also Mal’s alarm clock in the morning, so Murphy bugs out whenever he hears it.
I ended the evening with a few scoops of Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter. Delish!
Breakfast
I finished eating dinner around 7:00 PM, and I was sound asleep by 9:00 PM last night, so I woke up starving this morning. I immediately ate a spoonful of Teddie Peanut Butter straight from the jar and then started making My Favorite Breakfast Pancake. I used cashew butter and chia seeds in the mix this time.
I also poured myself an iced coffee in a travel mug, so I could take it with me when I went grocery shopping. I’m generally not a fan of grocery shopping, so I went bright and early this morning to beat the crowds and get it over with. If you’re curious, here’s what I bought at the grocery store today.
