Heyyyyyy! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty low-key, but wonderful at the same time. I mostly hung out with my favorite guys and tried to get some sleep. Q is actually a rockstar when it comes to sleeping himself. I’m just an idiot and try to do a million things instead of actually sleeping when he does. At 4:00 AM on Saturday night, for instance, I was doing laundry and emptying the dishwasher. I know. I have issues. Anyway, here are some things I did this weekend!
Hung out with these adorable dudes! They had a major cuddle session on Saturday morning.
I went for a couple of runs, and I felt pretty good! My “Bambi legs” are starting to go away, and I didn’t need to stop and walk. Yay!
My new kicks are the ZQUICK Electrify from my friends at Reebok, and they are super light-weight and comfy. I felt like I was flying on my runs! And, of course, the color combo is the bomb. I love the black, pink, and teal. Reebok also makes these shoes in Neon Blue/Solar Green and Solar Orange/Solar Yellow””both of which are very cool.
Mal and I hosted brunch for friends at our house on Saturday morning. The food spread was carb-tastic and delicious
Brunch menu: Chocolate and almond croissants, Mal’s amazing, cake-like, blueberry pancakes, fruit salad, and bacon. Mmm!
I stumbled upon this hilarious image””it literally made me laugh out loud!
I climbed into bed at 8:00 PM on Saturday night, read an issue of US Weekly, and ate dark chocolate chunks with almonds. It was awesome.
I woke up early on Sunday morning to get some work done. My new favorite iced beverage is a Maple Iced Latte. Listen to this deliciousness: Pour one teaspoon of maple syrup into a glass, brew hot espresso right on top of it so it mixes together, add a bunch of ice, and then pour in almond milk. Holy yum!
I went to the first Battle of the South Shore Boxes at CrossFit 781.
It was such a fun afternoon!
Mal had a double-header for softball on Sunday night, so Q and I hung out and cuddled.

What a great weekend!! I washed lots of baby clothes, finished packing my hospital bag, and took a few naps!
Thanks for sharing your weekend – it looked fab!!! I stumbled on your blog in early April right before delivering baby girl #3 – I also Crossfit and coach at our box – love when you share your workouts! I’ve got some earmarked for future butt-kickings 🙂
My weekend was pretty low-key as well – 1. SLEEP! lots of it 🙂 2. Took my older two girls (8 & 4) for pedicures yesterday 3. made a double batch of these:

for lunches this week.
Yay!!
@Michelle:
Adorable baby and dad photo! I am so happy whenever I see a dad enjoying a baby. I am mother of 3 and grandmother of two. My son followed in his father’s footsteps and has no interest whatsoever in babies or small children. ENJOY those times…they are precious.
My accomplishment this weekend was to ride 5 km on my bicycle. I have not been able to ride for 4 years due to back and knee problems. It was a short distance compared to what I could do 5 years ago. But, it is so good to be able to ride again.
What a fun weekend! I ran my booth at the farmer’s market, went to dinner for my anniversary, and enjoyed church on Sunday 🙂
I had my second baby last week, and I totally know what you mean about wanting to get stuff done while he’s sleeping. Its so hard to just walk by all the little messes that I normally would never allow in my house and just take a nap! I’m trying to thinking of sleeping right now the same way I would have thought of working out before, and that has actually helped.
Congrats on your little one!
Went to the mountains
Hung out with family from out of town
Ran!
Seriously your little man, too much cuteness!
I am loving your iced coffee recipes. Keep ’em coming!!
Tina, question for you. I see Q in your baby carrier, at what week did you first use that with him? I have the same carrier and my son was born June 17th, I am trying to figure out when to start using it.
The Ergo? Hmm… I can’t remember. A few weeks ago though. FYI: We have the infant insert for it.
Sounds like a great weekend! I’m 30 weeks pregnant with twins, and cannot wait to get into a routine with them! You seem like you’re doing pretty well with that-awesome! 🙂
My weekend consisted of relaxing and trying to reduce my Braxton hicks contractions, baking yummy protein bars, and making a big batch of half-caf iced coffee (my sudden craving was inspired by all your iced coffee!)
1. Went for a run with baby and my new jogging stroller on Sunday morning – yay!
2. Rearranged and cleaned the house with my husband. (A late “Spring clean”)!
3. Worked on my new blog – travel writing, fitness, food, and fun.
Love your posts! Bridget @ Hot Tea, Travel, and Thyme
That picture of your boys is so perfect!! My weekend was wonderful – went to St. Augustine, toured an exotic wildlife preserve to meet beautiful big cats, and got to see Dirty Heads perform live in an awesome concert. Was not happy to see Monday come again!
What a good weekend! Crawling into bed early and eating dark chocolate sounds IDEAL. I ran twice, made a homemade apple pie, and mulched our back yard!
I don’t know why but I love your posts like this so much but I do! Inspired to run again – check! Cute baby pics – check! New products to love – check! Delicious food pics – check! Seriously love the new runners. I pool partied with a very cool friend at her and her husband’s very cool house, hung out with my sister, nephew and niece, and bought new cutting boards. Yep, little things can mean more than big things!

Sounds like a lovely weekend. I loved that avocado image and maple iced coffee sounds great… even though I’m more of a tea girl.
This weekend I…
1. Biked – broke my record time for the route I usually do 🙂
2. Got froyo with some girlfriends
3. Got to see Hillary Clinton speak :O (she lives in my town and unexpectedly showed up to speak at a “graduation” for a summer scholarship program that my family hosted a kid from!)
That’s so cool that you got to hear Hillary!
Looks great! I think we need brunch to become a thing here in the UK you know…
Lovely low key weekend. I saw that avocado cartoon on FB. It’s so funny.
That maple iced latte sounds AMAZING! I will definitely be trying that tomorrow!
This weekend I…
1. Baked Paleo Banana Bread.
2. Played tennis!
3. Took my car to the shop since it broke down twice..
Thanks for sharing Tina!
You weekend sounds great! Mine was spent on the Cape with my dog and husband.
What baby carrier is that? I’m 10/2 and registered for the Ergo Baby. Yours looks similar.
Thanks!
It’s the Ergo! 😄
Sorry… that should say *I’m due 10/2.
I did yoga, saw some fireworks, and had waffles at the Waffle house for the first time! Yum!!
I ran a half marathon, had cocktails on a patio with my husband and took my grandma to her buddy’s 90th birthday party (they are way too cute). Well balanced and fun weekend!
Sounds like an awesome weekend!!
Just love little Q! Maybe it’s sleep deprivation, but that avocado image made me laugh way too much. That might be my new line! Those chocolate chunks and Mal’s pancakes, oh my gosh. Love Kim Vo!
Love those jeans!
